The cookies feature six embossed designs inspired by the Xbox logo and controller buttons and will come with codes that unlock Oreo-themed content in games such as Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, and Sea of Thieves. There is also a range of real-world prizes up for grabs.

According to the Xbox Wire blog post, fans can unlock a range of prizes "by scanning the Oreo Xbox Special Edition cookies and by cracking exclusive cookie combinations inspired by the cheat codes hidden in games." Among the exclusive rewards that fans can earn include armor packs and vehicle skins for Forza Horizon 5, Sea of Thieves, and Halo Infinite."

Additionally, participants will be entered into the draw to win prizes ranging from custom Oreo hardware, Xbox consoles, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate memberships, and a holiday experience for the whole family, subject to regional availability," the blog post said. It's worth noting that this is not the first time Microsoft has partnered with Oreo for a marketing campaign, having previously created an Oreo-themed Xbox Series X and Oreo emojis for Microsoft Teams.
