The eighth mainline entry into the Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil Village, releases on 7th May 2021. Capcom's latest and possibly greatest Resident Evil title yet will release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. For survival horror fans who simply can't get enough of the franchise, there will also be a Resident Evil Village Launch Special taking place. Here's what you need to know about this special event, from the exact date and time, how you can watch it live, and what to expect.

Resident Evil Village Launch Special: Date and time

The Resident Evil Village Launch Special is scheduled to begin on 7th May 2021 at 20:00 JST, for those in the UK, that's 15:00 GMT.

At the time of writing, there's no indication how long this special event will last but you can expect at least a couple of hours judging by all the presenters confirmed for the show.

Resident Evil Village Launch Special content

Capcom has kept the Resident Evil Village Launch Special content close to the vest. However, we do know some of the presenters which will appear during the event.

These presenters include Capcom TV's Ayana who is the host of the show and Gorgeous delivering commentary.

The producer of Resident Evil Village, Tsuyoshi Kanda, and Morimasa Sato, the director of the game will appear on the show. Therefore, we can expect some deep insights into the game's development, and likely some never-before-seen gameplay footage.

Lastly, a special guest, comedian Eiko Kano, will appear in the Resident Evil Village Launch Special.
