Developer Iron Galaxy Studios announced a brand new project, Rumbleverse, a free-to-play brawler royale this past week. The game is the developer’s take on the battle royale genre, debuted a cheeky trailer during The Game Awards in which the developer aptly described the game as similar to Fortnite “but with punching rather than shooting”.

Set in Grapital City, 40 players will be dropped onto a map where they have to use melee combat to knock out other players and be the last fighter remaining. The developer also shared plans for an Early Access Beta for Rumbleverse coming to console and PC in 2022.

So, here's what you need to know about Rumbleverse’s early access beta, including the release date, how to join, price and more.

When will the Rumbleverse early access beta be released?

Iron Galaxy Studios has yet to announce the exact release date for Rumbleverse; however, according to the previously mentioned FAQ page, we do know the exact date for the early access beta. The beta will start on 8th February 2022 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC via the Epic Games Store.

How to join Rumbleverse’s early access beta?

To join the Rumbleverse early access beta, players can head over to the game’s official website and select “Sign-up for Early Access”, which will ask players to input their date of birth and email address. Next, players can choose which platform they’ll be playing on as well as their chosen region and if they have an Epic Games account.

Once all the relevant information has been inputted, players will be notified ahead of the early access beta if they have been selected for the beta. It does appear to be a closed beta, meaning not everyone will gain access to the game’s early access.

What is the price for Rumbleverse early access beta?

The Rumbleverse Early Access is currently available for pre-order and pre-download via the Epic Games Store (for PC), Xbox Store and PlayStation Store. According to the Epic Games Store, the price listing for the Early Access Pack is at $19,99 / ₤15,99 / €19,99.

The Early Access Pack will contain the following items to start your brawling journey early:

  • Guaranteed access to the Early Access Beta
  • Three of each the following Karatgi items: Jackets, Trousers, Gloves and Shoes
  • 2,000 Brawlla Bills

For players wondering, Brawlla Bills is Rumbleverse’s in-game currency in which players can redeem against purchases from the in-game store. These items include outfits, hairstyles, cosmetic accessories, masks and emotes.

Other than having a stable Internet connection to participate in the Rumbleverse early access beta, the game doesn’t require players to have a console subscription like the Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus to join in the action. Additionally, Rumbleverse will support keyboard and mouse peripherals as well as the Xbox One, PlayStation Dualshock 4 and PlayStation 5 Dualsense controllers.

Grapital City awaits players in the Rumbleverse early access beta where punching is the only answer and where “anyone can be a champion”. Get ready to rumble and be the last brawler standing in Rumbleverse.
