Ubisoft's new game Skull and Bones will pit players against one another in an attempt to sink the other's ship in intense naval battles.
Skull and Bones - Release date, gameplay, leaks, and more

Skull and Bones is an action-adventure pirate game developed by Ubisoft Singapore. After the success of sailing the open seas in Assassin Creed IV: Black Flag, Ubisoft decided to develop a game that focused more on the pirate aspects of Black Flag.

After several years of development and a few roadblocks that nearly shut down the project, Skull and Bones is nearly finished and ready for the hands of the public. Players will have to take to the sea to become king of the pirates.

After several setbacks on the release date, Skull and Bones is nearing completion. The game was set to release in April 2022 but has once again been pushed back.

However, players can now sign up to have a chance to participate in the future testing of the game. Although there isn’t currently an official release date, Ubisoft hopes to have the game ready by the end of 2022 or early 2023.

Skull and Bones - Gameplay

Skull and Bones will focus on multiplayer features as players sail the seas, discover islands, and try to sink opponents’ ships. Ships and crews will need to be maintained to keep your sails full of wind.

New footage has leaked that reveals the gameplay for Skull and Bones. Players will control their ship and participate in naval battles such as firing cannonballs and raiding another ship.

There will be an Infamy System that tracks the player’s pirate reputation. Players will be able to gather supplies and craft items that they’ll need to successfully sail the seven seas.

A captain will have to keep his ship well stocked with food and ammunition or the NPC crew might mutiny your ship. Players will be able to complete quests and go after bounties to help with their Infamy.
