The Last Of Us Part 2 and Hades lead The Game Awards 2020 nominations

The Game Awards have become the biggest awards bash in the industry, handing out trinkets and debuting huge game announcements.

Hosted by Geoff Keighley, The Game Awards 2020 will take a slightly different approach due to the virus pandemic - spreading the action across three stream locations in London, Los Angeles and Tokyo on 10th December.

These three cities will be connected throughout for award presentations, music performances and “world premiere” announcements.

The London base will be at Abbey Road Studios, with the London Philharmonic Orchestra set to perform compositions from the biggest games of the year.

But what about the nominations? The coveted Game of the Year award will be a close battle between Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Hades, Ghost of Tsushima, Final Fantasy VII Remake, The Last of Us Part 2 and Doom Eternal.

The Call of Duty League also earned some representation in Best Esports Athlete, which will see Ian "Crimsix" Porter, Anthony "Shotzzy" Cuevas-Castro, Heo "Showmaker" Su, Kim "Canyon" Geon-bu and Matthieu “ZywOo” Herbaut all face-off.

Voting is open on their official website for fans to help choose the winner. You can also determine the Most Anticipated Game category by dropping a DM to their Twitter.

You can check out the full list of nominations below.
