The Last Of Us Part 2 and Ghost Of Tsushima new summer release dates announced

Sony has announced new release dates for PlayStation exclusives The Last Of Us Part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima, with both delayed by roughly a month.
The Last Of Us Part 2 and Ghost Of Tsushima new summer release dates announced

Following the indefinite delay of The Last Of Us Part 2 earlier this month, Sony has announced the highly anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusive will now launch on 19th June 2020.

The game was originally scheduled to be released on 29th May but was delayed due to logistical issues surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.

This new release date is sooner than many perhaps anticipated which is promising, with some speculating it may have been held back until the PS5's launch later this year.

Unsurprisingly, Sony also announced fellow PS4 exclusive Ghost of Tsushima has also been pushed back a few weeks, which will now release on 17th July instead of 26th June.

Ghost of Tsushima's delay appears to be due to issues relating to the working from home adjustment due to the pandemic, although it's likely Sony is simply wanting to space out its two major titles for breathing space.

Ghost of Tsushima is the next title from developer Sucker Punch, known for their work on the Infamous and Sly Cooper franchises.

The Last Of Us sequel has suffered numerous leaks over the past few weeks, with major story details circulating online.

The Last Of Us Part 2 releases on PlayStation 4 on 19th June, while Ghost of Tsushima releases on 17th July.
