The Lord of the Rings: Gollum reviews are appearing online, and they're not looking great. The game, which has gone through several delays, is currently sitting at a 43 for the PC version on Metacritic, and the PS5 version has fared even worse, sitting at 38.
The following five games are just barely above The Lord of the Rings: Gollum:
- Clive 'N' Wrench (Switch) - 50
- Crime Boss: Rockay City (PC) - 52
- The Last Worker (PC) - 53
- Redfall (PC) - 54
- Ravenbound (PC) - 54
GamesRadar writer Alex Avard stated over on Twitter 'Gollum is one of the worst games I've played in a while'. Meanwhile, over at Inverse, Joseph Yaden stated 'I wouldn't recommend playing The Lord of the Rings: Gollum if you get it for free, much less paying $50 for it.'
This is likely to be a massive blow to owner Embracer Group, who only yesterday reported that they'd lost a potential contract that would have provided the company with a boost of $2 billion dollars in a public earnings report.
