Little Bat Games today released the first content update for Vampire Therapist, and fans can access it entirely for free if they already own the game. The content update comes as part of a series that'll be comprised of three parts - The Blood of Troy, Spanish Nights, and Fathoms Below, respectively.
In this series of content updates, players can offer therapy to their mentor, who's a 3000-year-old vampire with a few skeletons in his closet. The first update, The Blood of Troy, surrounds the origins of Rome, seen from the perspective of a vampire. In Vampire Therapist, immortality affects the way these creatures see the world, and this update seeks to dive deeper into that aspect of the game's world building.
The next updates for the critically-acclaimed title will take players to pre-Renaissance Spain, with the following one taking us on a path through the birth of psychoanalysis. While the first update is already out today, the others will be released before the end of 2024, publishers say.
"Vampire Therapist has touched players in ways we could not have anticipated. With our talented, lean studio, we thought we could scrounge up a nice treat to invite players back into our world to learn more about our oldest vampire," said Cyrus Nemati, Creative Director at Little Bat Games.
