Why is Bonnie not in FNAF Security Breach - Did Monty kill Bonnie?

Why is Bonnie not in Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach is a question bothering many fans of this classic horror franchise, so let's find out why.
Why is Bonnie not in FNAF Security Breach - Did Monty kill Bonnie?

Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, the eighth instalment of the popular horror franchise Five Nights at Freddy's (FNAF), was released on 16th December 2021, to the delight of numerous fans and YouTubers whose careers have been kickstarted with Five Nights at Freddy's Let's Plays.

While Security Breach has managed to capture the familiar anxiety-inducing atmosphere of the series, fans quickly noticed that Bonnie, an animatronic bunny who is one of the primary antagonists in the Five Nights at Freddy's series, is missing from FNAF Security Breach. So naturally, Bonnie's disappearance started raising many questions, given that this eerie animatronic bunny guitarist is the unofficial mascot of the series.

Bonnie the Rabbit is one of the most recognizable faces of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise and is an iconic character that has been a staple of the series up until now. You cannot think about Freddy Fazbear's Pizza without thinking of him. So, why is Bonnie not in FNAF Security Breach?

Did Monty kill Bonnie in FNAF Security Breach?

Bonnie is the guitarist in Freddy's band and serves as an animatronic children's entertainer during working hours. The character is initially positioned at the left side of the stage, but once the night falls, he enters a "free-roaming mode" until six in the morning, and he will hunt you mercilessly to your demise.

However, FNAF Security Breach comprises a new Glamrock Animatronic band with four new Glamrock Animatronics, including Montgomery Gator (or just "Monty").

Monty is an animatronic based on an alligator, designed to have a punk rock theme. He is a bassist by day and one of the main antagonists in FNAF Security Breach by nightfall.

The band in Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach always has precisely four members, no more, no less, and according to developers, Monty was Bonnie's understudy.

It would seem as though something happened to Bonnie and that's why we have Monty replacing him in FNAF Security Breach. But no one knows what exactly happened to Bonnie.

Did Monty kill Bonnie? Perhaps Monty was tired of not having an opportunity to perform and secretly got rid of Bonnie? That might be true, but this is just speculation.

When you play the game, and the kids ask Freddy's employees what happened to Bonnie, they say they don't know. Well, that would be true unless they are just hiding the awful truth from their innocent ears.

Is Bonnie in FNAF Security Breach?

While he is not present as one of the main antagonists in Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, Bonnie features a little easter egg in a cameo.

Bonnie is present in Security Breach as a part of "The Blob," a secret robotic enemy created by mixing many other characters. The Blob is an insanely powerful enemy that combines powers from numerous animatronics, and Bonnie is one of them, as well as Circus Baby, Chica, and many others.

So, to finally answer the "Why is Bonnie not in FNAF Security Breach" question, we've concluded that something horrible has happened to Bonnie, although this is our speculation. We suspect that Bonnie has been decommissioned for unknown reasons or even abducted.

Hopefully, the next FNAF game will give us more answers about Bonnie's fate.
