Is Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Playable On Steam Deck?

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is officially coming to Nintendo Switch. But is it also playable on Steam Deck?
Is Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Playable On Steam Deck?

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the latest entry in the long-running action RPG series, Xenoblade. Like previous games in the series, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a standalone entry that features new characters and new locations, thus making it accessible to newcomers.

JRPGs like these have always been home to handheld devices, with Persona 4 being one of the best of its kind on PS Vita. Switch has had its own share of classic JRPGs, like Fire Emblem Three Switch Houses.

With the release of Steam Deck, many fans have been wondering whether this new handheld will get its own share of good JRPGs or not, with one of the most asked questions being about Xenoblade Chronicles 3. So without further ado, let's get into whether Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is playable on Steam Deck or not.

As it turns out, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is indeed playable on Steam Deck despite being a Nintendo Switch exclusive title.

First reported by Eurogamer, it seems, a ROM of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has leaked on the internet, allowing players to run Xenoblade Chronicles 3 on the Steam Deck.

Notable Youtuber SomeordinaryGamers, aka, Mutahar, took to Twitter to share a picture of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 running on Steam Deck. As expected, many Xenoblade fans weren't pleased, especially since the game's not even out yet.

That said, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Switch copies have indeed leaked, with many scalpers selling the game at a much higher rate than $60. There are also story spoilers floating on the Internet, so we recommend muting specific keywords on Twitter to avoid spoiling the game for yourself.

Since a ROM of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has leaked online, players can make it playable on other playable platforms as well though we won't recommend doing so for obvious reasons.

As for the official release, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a Nintendo-published title, which means fans shouldn't expect a Steam Deck port (or any platform port for that matter) anytime soon, if at all.

That concludes our guide on whether Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is playable on Steam Deck or not.
