Warzone 2 Season 4: When Does Battle Royale Arrive In Vondel?

Warzone 2 has received a brand new map, Vondel, in Season 4, but it isn't available in Battle Royale immediately. Here's when the mode is coming to this new map.

Season 4 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 has brought with it a number of new additions and quality of life improvements to the famed Battle Royale. With a brand new Battle Pass to complete, players will gain access to new Operators, Weapons and more. But perhaps the biggest addition this season comes in the form of a brand new map — Vondel.

This mid-sized map is based on the Netherlands, featuring various city-inspired POIs and plenty of canals to add that extra dynamic level to gameplay. In terms of size, Vondel sits roughly in-between Warzone 2 base map Al Mazrah and the more recent Ashika Island Resurgence map. It’s size works particularly well in the current modes: DMZ and Resurgence. The map supports up to 18 Operators for DMZ and 72 Operators for Resurgence game modes.

But despite Vondel being available with the launch of Season 4, the standard Battle Royale mode is noticeably missing from the Vondel playlists. Given its size and layout, the new map seems perfect for a chaotic, fast-paced Battle Royale match so why isn’t Vondel included as an option?

The short answer is that it will be. Soon. Here’s what you need to know.

Update 4 July: Warzone Season 4 Reloaded is expected to arrive around July 12 to July 19, with Vondel's Battle Royale mode expected to roll out around the same time.

When Does Vondel Get Battle Royale In Warzone 2 Season 4?

According to a recent Call of Duty blog, Vondel will be made available in standard Battle Royale later on in the season. While no exact timeframe for its addition has been given, players can likely expect to see it around the Season 4 Reloaded window.

At launch, Vondel has been made available to play across DMZ and Resurgence. In additon to these modes, a new LTM inspired by the Multiplayer mode Hardpoint will be arriving as part of the launch playlist rotation. Called “Lockdown,” the LTM will be taking place on Vondel and will task Quads with capturing and holding zones around the map.

We’ll continue to update this page with more information regarding Battle Royale coming to Vondel as we move towards the mid-season update.
