Riot Games has officially announced the Wild Rift EMEA Championship 2022, where the top teams from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa will fight to qualify for the Icon Series.

Riot has announced the complete details of the Wild Rift EMEA Championship 2022 that will be taking place this month, where the top six teams from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa will compete against each other for a share in the 200,000 € prize pool and a slot in Wild Rift Icons.

Wild Rift EMEA Championship start date

The Wild Rift EMEA Season 1 competition will begin on May 5 and will run till May 8, and the champions will book their ticket to the global championship, i.e., Wild Rift icons.

A total of six teams will qualify for the Grand Finals of the EMEA Championship 2022, and out of them, five squads have already booked their seats, and here's a list of them.

  • Game-Lord (WREC EU Champion)
  • NASR Esports (WRREC TR Champion)
  • Rix.GG (WREC EU LCQ)
  • Team Queso (WREC EU LCQ)
  • Parla Esports (WREC TR LCQ)

The 6th Team will qualify from the game between Formulation Gaming vs. Unicorn of Love that will take place in the play-in stage of the championship.

The first game, i.e., UOL vs. FMG, will take place on May 5 at 17:30 CEST, and on the same day, teams from Group A will battle against each other to reach the semifinals. Here is the complete schedule of the EMEA championship.

Day 1

  • UOL vs. FMG: 17:30 CEST
  • NSR vs. RIX: 19:30 CEST
  • RIX vs. TQ: 21:30 CEST
  • TQ vs. TQ: 23:30 CEST

Day 2

  • GLD vs. PRL: 18:30 CEST
  • PRL vs. TBD: 20:30 CEST
  • TBD vs. GLD: 22:30 CEST

Day 3

  • TBD vs. TBD: 18:30 CEST (BO5)
  • TBD vs. TBD: 21:30 CEST (BO5)

Day 4

  • TBD vs. TBD: 18:30 CEST (BO5)
  • TBD vs. TBD: 21:30 CEST (BO7)
