Wild Rift Origin Series 2021: How to register, eligibility, schedule, format, prize pool, and more

Riot has always been pretty serious about developing a solid esports scene for the games they release, which is evident from League of Legends, Valorant esports. Most recently, they have announced the first-ever official League of Legends: Wild Rift tournament, Wild Rift Origin Series 2021, for players in Europe, MENA, and CIS. 

The registrations for the tournament have started, and Riot has also revealed other information like prize pool, format, and more. Here is everything we know about Wild Rift Origin Series 2021:

Wild Rift Origin Series 2021 Eligibility

In order to participate in the tournaments, a team needs to meet the following conditions:

• Teams must consist of at least five and no more than eight players

• Players must enter their Riot account with the Wild Rift account

• All the players must be at least 17 years old

How to register for Wild Rift Origin Series 2021

If you have a team and all of your teammates are eligible for the tournament, you need to follow these steps to register successfully:

1. Go to the official Wild Rift Origin Series website

2. Click on the Login/Register button present at the top right corner of the screen

3. Log in with your Riot account and create your team by inviting your teammates.

4. Submit your details and compete in the tournament.

Wild Rift Origin Series 2021 Prize Pool

The tournament will offer a massive prize pool of €300,000; however, the complete distribution is yet to be revealed by Riot. Here is what Hans Christian Duerr, Riot’s head of Wild Rift esports, quoted about the tournament: 

“We’re excited to launch the first League of Legends: Wild Rift intercontinental esports circuit for Europe, MENA, CIS, and Turkey, building on the momentum and hype displayed by our dedicated players and fans. League of Legends: Wild Rift Origin Series is set to bring mobile esports to the next level and shine a light on new talents yet to be discovered.”

Wild Rift Origin Series 2021 Schedule and Format

Wild Rift Origin Series 2021 will follow the following schedule and format:

Monthly Qualifiers

The registered teams in Wild Rift Origin Series 2021 will battle against each other in different groups in Monthly Qualifiers that will be starting from 5th June. The top 16 teams from each group will then proceed to Monthly Finals.

Monthly Finals

The qualified teams from Monthly Finals will compete in this stage of the competition to earn points, and the top teams with the highest number of points will get the ticket to Wild Rift Origin Series 2021 Finals.

Finals

Wild Rift Origin Series 2021 Finals will be conducted offline, and the top teams from all the groups will fight for the trophy and a prize pool of €300,000.
