The Dragonflight pre-patch event, Primal Storms, focuses on the invasions of Primalist enemies.

Specific types of Primalist mobs and a corresponding boss will spawn in four specific zones, namely:

  • Northern Barrens gets Earth invasions.
  • Badlands gets Water invasions.
  • Tirisfal Glades gets Fire invasions.
  • Un'Goro Crater gets Storm invasions.

Many Primalist enemies will spawn in marked areas on each zone's map, and every 30-minutes, an Elemental Lord will spawn.

During the Dragonflight pre-patch event, this boss gives enemies the invading element. Players will need to band together to kill 100 Primalist mobs to take down the boss's shield and proceed to kill it for some shiny rewards.

Primeval Essence is the limited-time currency for WoW Dragonflight's pre-patch event. Mobs imbued with an Elemental Lord's element, and the boss itself drops Primeval Essence on death.

The Imbued enemies have a chance to drop ilvl 252 gear to get players ready for the release of Dragonflight. These pieces of gear can also be purchased with Primeval Essence.

Players can purchase these Dragonflight pre-patch event rewards from Storm Hunter Suhrakka (by the tower in Bladefist Bay) or from Storm Hunter William at the docks in Stormwind. These rewards include weapons, armor, trinkets, and more.

There's also a Bag of Furious Winds toy that players can purchase for 100 Primeval Essence. It summons a vacuum above your character's head and sucks in critters for 10 seconds. This today has a 30-minute cooldown.

Last, there's the Unstable Elemental Confluence Heirloom Trinket as a WoW Dragonflight pre-patch Primal Storms event reward.

This Heirloom Trinket has a chance of giving your abilities and spells "Primal Magic", basically dealing more damage and buffing your allies.

Players can get this awesome WoW Dragonflight pre-patch event reward by collecting all four "Dimmed Primeval" items as a rare drop from the bosses during the invasions.
