There’s a lot to love about World of Warcraft (WoW)‘s latest expansion, The War Within, as the first part of the Worldsoul Saga, from Delves to massive new zones, dungeons, and raids. The cherry on top is, of course, the new Titan-forged Earthen race, but there are a few class restrictions in play.

The Earthen is an allied race, and they cannot become every class in the game, as expected. Most combos are available, except for obvious ones that really wouldn’t fit the lore. Let’s take a quick look.
What Classes Can Earthen Be in WoW?
First, follow our guide to unlock the Earthen as a playable race in The War Within. From here, you will be able to create your very own Earthen character and choose a class.
We are just going to pull off the bandaid right now: Earthen cannot become the following classes:
- Druid
- Death Knight
- Evoker
- Demon Hunter
Those class restrictions do make a lot of sense since Earthen, with their body composition, shouldn’t be able to shapeshift like a Druid…To be clear, Earthen can become any of the following classes:
- Warrior
- Rogue
- Hunter
- Mage
- Monk
- Paladin
- Priest
- Shaman
- Warlock

While your dreams of becoming an Earthen Death Knight might be crushed, it definitely isn’t unexpected that not all race/class combos would be available.
