Consider this a public service announcement for all World of Warcraft (WoW) players: Once the ever-popular MMORPG’s The War Within pre-patch launches, Blizzard will be permanently disabling Paid Character Transfers (PCTs) between different Battle.net accounts.
It is important to note that if you do not have multiple Battle.net accounts, this does not affect you at all. The portion of the character transfer service being disabled is only for those who want to move characters between Battle.net accounts registered under the same name.
WoW PCT Battle.net Accounts End Date
The end date for the Paid Character Transfer service between Battle.net accounts is 23 July 2024, the same day The War Within’s pre-patch launches. Blizzard explains how the process works and provides a note on using Tokens for this purpose:
This service will still be available to use between realms and between World of Warcraft accounts within a single Battle.net account. Please be aware that transfers between Battle.net accounts will not be available after the pre-expansion update has gone live. Any transfer tokens that you have saved to use on a transfer between Battle.net accounts should be used before this time.
The War Within’s pre-expansion content update will be released on 23 July 2024 in the US (24th for those in Europe).

So there you have it; use those PCT Tokens if you’ve been saving them to transfer characters between your Battle.net account. Remember, this doesn’t affect other types of character transfers, so if you don’t have multiple Battle.net accounts, there’s no need to worry or panic in the slightest.
