World of Warcraft (WoW) Classic players will be able to travel to Northrend on 26th September 2022 with Wrath of the Lich King (WotLK) Classic's release. The WotLK Classic pre-patch is already live, and players are preparing to face the Lich King again. Blizzard is now offering WoW Classic Northrend Heroic and Epic Upgrade packages to purchase for those who want to enhance their experience and might not have played TBC Classic.

This article outlines the price for both Northrend Upgrade packages and includes an overview of the items you will receive if you decide to purchase one.

WoW Classic Northrend Heroic & Epic Upgrade Prices

First, remember that WotLK Classic is free for everyone with a World of Warcraft subscription and that these packages are optional.

Essentially, the WoW Classic Northrend Heroic and Epic upgrade packages will allow players to boost one of their characters on a Wrath of the Lich King Classic realm to level 70, alongside a host of valuable items.

The prices for both Northrend packages are listed below.

• WoW Classic Northrend Heroic Upgrade - $49.99
• WoW Classic Northrend Epic Upgrade - $79.99

It is important to note these packages are limited to one per WoW account. Players can't use these packages for the Death Knight hero class.

With the expensive WoW Classic Northrend upgrade packages, you get some nice extras to make your transition into the frozen wasteland smooth.

The WoW Classic Northrend Heroic upgrade content includes.

• Expert Riding skill
• A race-specific epic ground mount
• A faction-specific rare flying mount
• Weapon skills up to level 70
• Access to Azeroth and Outland flight paths
• A set of level 70 Uncommon (green) quality gear
• Up to four Draenic Leather Pack bags (14 slots each)
• A little bit of gold to start their journey
• Pebble (penguin pet)
• Fishspeaker's Lucky Lure - Toy to summon tuskarr fishing companion.

The WoW Classic Northrend Epic upgrade packages include everything in the Heroic package, as well as the following:

• The Kalu’ak Whalebone Glider, a flying mount for your Classic characters for use only in Wrath of the Lich King Classic and designed to match the look of the original expansion.
• The Tuskarr Shoreglider, a flying mount variant for use in modern World of Warcraft (including Shadowlands and Dragonflight) and reflecting the game’s current visual style.
• 30 days of World of Warcraft game time, providing access to WoW Classic Era realms, Wrath of the Lich King Classic, and the modern game.

It will be up to each WoW Classic player to decide if these upgrade packages to prepare for WotLK on 26th September 2022 is worth it.

It is important to note that you can also upgrade from the Heroic to the Epic package, but this does not grant a second level 70 character boost.
