WoW Dragonflight beta - How to join and release date

As expected, Blizzard Entertainment revealed the next World of Warcraft (WoW) expansion, entitled Dragonflight. In our opinion, it is one of the most exciting expansions to date, as players will travel to Dragon Isles, learn to ride and control dragons, and enjoy the new hero class/race combo Dracthyr Evoker, level up to 70, and much more. Keep in mind that during the WoW: Dragonflight beta test, not all features such as the new Raid might be available. There's also a revamped Talent system, Dragonriding and more announced for the expansion, but some of these could only release during a later test.

How to join World of Warcraft: Dragonflight beta test

If you want to jump into Dragon Isle as soon as possible, you will need to sign up for the WoW: Dragonflight beta for a chance to get in.

First up, there is no guarantee that if you sign up, you will be able to join the WoW: Dragonflight beta test, especially not the first one.

With that disclaimer out of the way, follow the steps below to sign up for the World of Warcraft: Dragonflight beta test.

• Make sure you have an active WoW subscription.
• Head on over to the official WoW: Dragonflight page.
• Click on the "BETA OPT-IN" button. This will take you to the bottom of the page.
• Click on the "BETA OPT-IN" button again and sign in with your Battle.net account.

You are now all signed up for a chance at joining the Dragonflight beta test. Players will receive a "Thanks for signing up" message and will have to wait until the beta test for WoW: Dragonflight releases.

This is for a "chance" at joining the beta test, so there's no guarantee you will actually get in. You will, however, receive the latest game updates via email...

WoW: Dragonflight beta test release date

At the time of writing, there is no official release date for the WoW: Dragonflight beta test. Blizzard has only noted in the reveal stream that they will be starting alpha testing "soon".

Obviously, alpha testing happens first, followed up by beta testing. We don't expect the Dragonflight beta test to have a release date of earlier than July 2022, with the full expansion likely to release at the end of the year, or in the first quarter of 2023.
