WoW WotLK Classic Cold Weather Flying - Unlock And Gold Price

As soon as the World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King (WotLK) Classic launch takes place, thousands of heroes of Azeroth will make their journey to Northrend once again in their quest to finally put an end to the Lich King's reign. Their first journey will be mostly on foot, and many might wonder how you can unlock flying in WoW WotLK Classic.

This guide explains the requirements to unlock Cold Weather Flying, how much gold it costs, and which Riding Trainer NPCs you can visit, alongside their locations.

Unlock WoW WotLK Classic Cold Weather Flying

There are only really two requirements to unlock WoW WotLK Classic Cold Weather Flying, so you can take to the icy skies of Northrend.

• WoW Classic Northrend Heroic & Epic Upgrades - Price, Content & More
• WotLK Classic Roadmap - Raids, Zombie Plague, Arena S5, And More
• WoW Dragonflight max level and progression path
• WoW Dragonflight Pre-Order - All Editions, Bonuses, And More

For your first character heading into Northrend, you will have to make most of the journey on foot, as the first requirement to unlock Cold Weather Flying in WotLK Classic is reaching level 77.

The second requirement is to have 1,000 Gold handy, so save up during the leveling process as just completing quests and not spending your Gold at vendors should get you there.

Once you are level 77 or above and have 1,000 Gold, the next step is to find a Riding Trainer.

WotLK Classic Cold Weather Flying Riding Trainers

There are three NPCs that you can visit to learn Cold Weather Flying. These Riding Trainers in WotLK Classic and their general location can be learned about below.

• Hira Snowdawn - Roams around Karsus' Landing in Dalaran.
• Roxi Ramfocket - Located in Storm Peaks in the K3 area.
• Pilot Vic - Located in Sholazar Basin at the River's Heart area.

Lastly, remember that once you unlock Cold Weather Flying on one character, your alts will be able to purchase a Tome of Cold Weather Flying starting at level 68.

Only your first journey into Northrend will have to be on foot if you have an extra 1,000 Gold to spare. Hira Showdawn, who roams around Karsus' Landing in Dalaran, has the Tomb of Cold Weather Flying for sale.
