Change is inevitable, and the WWE 2K24 roster will look plenty different from what fans had to work with last year. Some of the biggest names you're used to seeing in the franchise will be gone for the first time, but others are due to arrive after years away.

There were well over 200 playable characters in the game last year, and the WWE 2K24 roster brings back the bulk of that group along with some new additions. We've got details here on the entire confirmed WWE 2K24 roster and who might be on the way as post-launch DLC.

Updated February 22: The full WWE 2K24 roster of playable characters has finally been revealed and confirmed by 2K Sports.

WWE 2K24 DLC Release Date Predictions

Jade Cargill WWE 2K24

We know that multiple post-launch WWE 2K24 DLC packs are planned, but so far they haven't announced which superstars will be included in each. WWE 2K24 soundtrack producer Post Malone has been confirmed as post-launch DLC, but they haven't announced if he'll have his own or be part of a larger pack.

The timing of each WWE 2K24 DLC release date should be confirmed when they're announced, but they generally wait four to six weeks between each drop. The first WWE 2K24 DLC should arrive in April, at which point they'll release in regular intervals throughout the following weeks and months. With the full roster now confirmed, here are some of the superstars that could be added as post-launch DLC.

Jade Cargill

After becoming one of the hottest rising stars in AEW, the inaugural TBS Champion who held that title for 508 days left the company and signed with WWE. While we've only seen her briefly so far, Cargill signed back on September 26 and may make it into the launch roster for WWE 2K24 or as a post-launch DLC.

CM Punk

If there was one name many thought would never return to WWE, it was CM Punk. After making a shocking appearance at Survivor Series, CM Punk is back and likely to join the WWE 2K24 roster. We have more here on his potential inclusion as post-launch DLC.

Lex Luger

It's often challenging to predict what the legends roster will look like each year, as many of these agreements are worked out behind the scenes with little fanfare. However, Luger recently signed a legends contract with the company and has already been included in the WWE Mattel action figure reveals, making a WWE 2K24 arrival very possible.

Carlito

Believe it or not, Carlito hasn't been a part of this franchise since WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010. After making several appearances with the company throughout the last year, it seems Carlito is finally due back in the WWE 2K series soon.

Kairi Sane

The Pirate Princess left WWE a few years ago and has continued to build upon her legacy in Japan, but she may finally be back for the first time since WWE 2K20. While she'd likely need a rebuilt model, being in the game that recently means 2K probably have some aspects to work with like her existing moveset and animations.

Nia Jax

Another surefire return, Nia Jax returned to the company earlier this year and has continued to be a staple of the women's division. Last seen in WWE 2K22, Jax is another who likely has existing assets that 2K can use to speed up the work in getting her back on the roster.

Pat McAfee

We've seen more and more that the recent WWE 2K installments love adding celebrity competitors like Logan Paul and Bad Bunny. The next best choice seems to be WWE commentator and occasional in-ring performer, as former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee could be due to add WWE 2K24 to his existing video game resume of Madden appearances.
