However, after the success of the Elite Series 2 controller, it is more than likely that the Xbox Elite Series 3 controller will release before the end of the Xbox Series X/S's lifespan.
Furthermore, considering the Xbox Elite Series 2 is nearly three years old, it makes sense that an upgrade could be on the horizon.
Xbox Elite Series 3 Controller Specs
The Elite Series 2 did manage to perfect almost everything when it comes to comfortable and optimal controller design. Therefore, there isn't much that the Elite Eries 3 could do to make a game-changing impact.
While any number of adjustable toggles, tighter magnets, and more stick options would be great, the most significant thing we'd like to see is some weight reduction.
The Elite Series 2 is already quite heavy, and if possible, it would be great to make the next controller a little lighter.
