After completing The Witchmother’s Bargain quest and acquiring the Witchmother’s Whistle tool, players can summon a cauldron anywhere in Tamriel, except for Cyrodiil during the Witches Festival. This limited-time event for The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) allows players to receive a 100% XP gain boost, which can aid them in leveling up characters when defeating bosses and other activities.

Speaking of bosses, when encountering them, they stand a chance of dropping a unique type of reward called the Plunder and Dremora Plunder Skulls. If you wish to know more about these reward containers, we’ve detailed how to earn them and what rewards can be obtained for ESO.

How To Get The Plunder And Dremora Plunder Skulls In ESO

Plunder Skulls are unique reward containers players can receive upon defeating enemies, monsters, and bosses across Tamriel. What makes this unique reward vastly different from other containers and crates they can receive is that it's exclusive to an in-game event, the Witches Festival, which occurs once a year as part of the game's Halloween festivities.

These skulls are primarily acquired during this event from Plunder Skulls, which can be earned when defeating a boss from Arenas, Delves, Overland, Public Dungeons, and Trials anywhere in Tamriel. These containers include a variety of items, which for this year's Witches Festival event, could be the following:

  • A festival-themed furnishing recipe
  • A festival-themed provisioning recipe
  • A complete festival-themed furnishing
  • A festival-themed treasure
  • There's a slight chance for one of the following:
    • Dremora-style items
    • Hollowjack-style items
  • Alchemy reagents
  • Crawlers, Guts, Insect Parts and Worms

While fighting bosses is best done with friends and other players online, there's a concern about being unable to earn a Plunder Skull. However, the developer has made it easy for players to obtain a Plunder Skull, as they would need to land a single hit on the boss to qualify to earn Plunder Skulls.

There is also a unique type of Plunder Skull called the Dremora Plunder Skull, which is earned by defeating a unique kind of boss for the first time daily. Players can obtain a Dremora Plunder Skull from bosses within Arenas, Delves, final dungeons, invasions (like Dark Anchors, Harrowstorms, Volcanic Vents, and more), Public Dungeons, and World bosses.

It can also be acquired from besting a battle against the Crowborne Horror when completing the Plucking the Crow Daily Quest. This will award players a unique variety of rewards exclusively for the Witches Festival, including the following:

  • A folio of every Glenmoril Treasure Maps
  • A random Crowborne Hunter outfit-style page
  • Complete Dremora motif-style book
  • The Runebox: Tome of Forbidden Appetites
  • Witch-Tamed Bear Dog fragments x10
