NHL 24 Loose Puck Deke

It'll take time for you to build up an arsenal of versatile dekes in NHL 24, but one of the best places to start is nailing the timing on the Loose Puck Deke. This is one of the simpler dekes in NHL 24, but it does still require the right positioning and timing on your control execution.

To do the Loose Puck Deke, you'll want to be skating forward across the ice and nearby an opponent. If you're too far from someone, it can be particularly difficult to get the Loose Puck Deke to trigger.

Once you're in position, you'll want to simultaneously Press LB or L1 while moving the Left Stick in the direction of your backhand. If you're using a player that shoots right on Xbox, you'll press LB while pushing the Left Stick to the left. If you're using a player that shoots left on PlayStation, you'll press L1 while pushing the Left Stick to the right.

Be careful that you don't instinctively go for the Right Stick, as that or adjusted timing might cause you to accidentally do other moves like the Windmill Deke. The best place to use this move, and the best place to practice it, is HUT Rush playing versus the CPU.

As seen in the image above, after successfully nailing a Loose Puck Deke you'll be notified of it by this Ultimate Team mode. It's a great way to rack up points and create scoring opportunities once you get the timing down, so keep practicing until you can Loose Puck Deke on command in NHL 24.
