Pokémon GO Deino Special Research - How To Get Field Notes

Learn how to get your Community Day ticket for the Field Notes: Deino Special Research in Pokémon GO.
Pokémon GO Deino Special Research - How To Get Field Notes

June is almost over, and the Pokémon GO Deino Community Day is one of the final big events for the month. So naturally, Trainers will want to get their Field Notes: Deino Special Research soon. To get this research, you'll need a ticket that gives access to the full story and rewards.

These tickets are commonplace in Pokémon GO and each Community Day within the game features its own version. The tickets for these events cost the same each month and typically only run a few hours long. Fortunately, obtaining one is also reasonably straightforward, with Niantic recently adding a new method.

To purchase the Field Notes: Deino Special Research in Pokémon GO, you'll want to head to the Shop tab in your game. You can do this by tapping on the Poké Ball logo at the bottom center of your screen. This step brings up most of the menus within Pokémon GO.

Once you've tapped on the Poké Ball, you will find a shopping bag logo right above it, and this is the tab you want. As soon as the Shop opens, the first thing you'll see is Deino in all its glory. This is the research ticket you're looking for, and it will be labeled as Field Notes: Deino.

When you tap on this ticket, two purchase options will be available. The first is the option to purchase the Community Day ticket for yourself, which costs $1 for every event. Remember that this ticket is not required to catch Deino during the event hours but will be required for the Special Research.

The other option allows you to purchase the ticket for someone else as a gift. If this is selected, your friend list will appear, and you can choose to send the ticket to a Trainer who doesn't have one yet. Niantic added this feature last month with the Geodude Community Day.

For $1, these event tickets are usually worth the low price, especially if you can't spend all three hours playing. They will likely guarantee a Hydreigon and will help boost you to more candies. Research encounters usually provide better encounters for high IV stats or even a shiny. But it's still entirely possible to get these in the wild.

Another aspect of the ticket to keep in mind is that you can't use PokéCoins, so your stash or holding Gym isn't going to help, even though it's in the Shop. Tickets usually require a separate purchase without PokéCoins.
