The Game Awards 2022 is arguably the most coveted gaming awards ceremony, celebrating the best video games and honoring the talented developers who make it happen. The show, hosted by journalist Geoff Keighley, took place on 8 December 2022 in Los Angeles, CA., and featured several major announcements, including confirmation of Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding 2, a firm release window for Baldur's Gate 3, and news regarding Tekken, Final Fantasy XVI, and more!
Moreover, The Game Awards 2022 saw over 150 nominees across 31 categories, the most notable of which was the prestigious "Game of the Year" award. Among the named titles were Elden Ring, God of War: Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, Stray, and more. Although hundreds of games were nominated, only one winner in each category was honored to take center stage.
