Categories and Nominations for Game Awards 2022

The Game Awards has loads of different categories such as ‘Game of the Year,’ ‘Best Indie Game,’ and more. This year they have added one more ‘Best Adaptation’ category. This award will be given to the entertainment industry which has adapted the original game in the best possible way.

According to the Games Awards ‘Best Adaptation’ category, “a way for the gaming industry and its fans to tip its hat to creative work that authentically adapts and often adds lore and context to our favorite gaming franchises.”

We can expect the new Netflix Resident Evil Series, along with the new Uncharted movie, to be nominated for this particular category. The nominations for the Game Awards are out in mid-November when a Jury of over 100 global media outlets nominates different nominees for different categories. As for now, we can only guess the games which can make their way into the list.

The most hyped game released in 2022 was Elden Ring, and you can expect it to be on the list. Other than Elden Ring, you can also expect Apex Legends Mobile this year.
