Update on 16 October 2023: We've updated this article with the Unique item pool dropped by Lord Zir.
How to Unlock Lord Zir in Diablo 4 S2
Players will need to reach World Tier 4 difficulty level first. Then, you will need to complete Diablo 4’s Legion events, and from these activities, get Exquisite Blood drops. Once you have enough of the Exquisite Blood summoning materials, you can summon Dark Master in Diablo 4 Season 2.
If you want to face Lord Zir again, you will need to complete the process, as the Exquisite Blood summoning materials are consumed on use. Keep all the Exquisite Blood you find to slay this endgame boss over and over again.
We expect the Dark Master endgame boss fight to be an exceptionally difficult one, as it is featured as Lord Zir at the end of the Season 2 progression path outlined by the developers as seen in the image above. It is, after all, the themed endgame boss for Season of Blood, so good luck!
Diablo 4 Lord Zir Unique Rewards & Cosmetic
The images above showcase the exclusive cosmetic reward, The Diadem of the Ancient Helm, that has a chance of dropping when you defeat Lord Zir in Diablo 4 Season 2. Each of the endgame bosses in Diablo 4 Season of Blood also features an item pool with specific Unique items.
Blizzard has shared the details on the Unique item pool for Lord Zir endgame boss, showcasing the Uniques you can target-farm in Diablo 4 Season of Blood by defeating this challenging foe.
Importantly, the Lord Zir does not have an increased chance to drop Uber Unique items. The only endgame boss that has an increased Uber Unique item drop chance is Duriel!
