Among the diverse weaponry featured in ARK Survival Ascended, one weapon type distinguishes itself as the best in terms of overall effectiveness and power: TEK weapons. These futuristic weapons prove extremely useful in the end game, and for players tackling the final challenges on the island, they become invaluable.

If you're eager to get your hands on these advanced weapons and want to learn more about each of them, then keep reading. Below, we'll show you exactly how to craft each TEK weapon in ARK Survival Ascended and how each can contribute to your overall survival.

All TEK Weapons and How To Craft Them In ARK Survival Ascended

Currently, players in ARK Survival Ascended have access to three primary TEK weapons (although more might be added in future DLCs): the TEK Rifle, Grenade, and Turret. Crafting these weapons requires a TEK Replicator, and you can refer to our guide on setting it up if you haven't done so.

Now, let's review the crafting requirements and descriptions for each of the three TEK weapons.

TEK Rifle Crafting Requirements And Description:

The TEK Rifle is a powerful automatic weapon that deals explosive damage with no reload, only an overheating feature limiting it. (Picture: Shane / Studio Wildcard)
  • TEKgram obtained after defeating the Megapithecus (Beta)
  • 120 × Polymer, Organic Polymer, or Corrupted Nodule
  • 450 × Metal Ingot or Scrap Metal Ingot
  • 120 × Crystal or Primal Crystal
  • 20 × Element
  • 55 × Black Pearl

The TEK Rifle is an automatic weapon firing explosive energy blasts rapidly, causing area damage. It consumes Element while firing, with each piece supplying 50 shots. It doesn't require reloading but will overheat after prolonged continuous firing, needing a cooldown. The built-in scope lens enhances sight range and has a night vision function, activated by scrolling.

TEK Grenade Crafting Requirements And Description:

  • TEKgram obtained after defeating the Megapithecus (Alpha)
  • 1 × Element
  • 40 × Crystal or Primal Crystal
  • 10 × Cementing Paste or Achatina Paste
  • 30 × Metal Ingot or Scrap Metal Ingot
  • 30 × Polymer, Organic Polymer, or Corrupted Nodule
  • 60 × Gunpowder

The TEK Grenade sticks to a target, exploding after 5 seconds. It deals 300 damage to creatures and damages all structures, making it a top choice for PvP despite its general similarity to standard grenades.

TEK Turret Crafting Requirements And Description:

The TEK Turret is the most powerful in the game and offers tons of automation for defending your base. (Picture: Shane / Studio Wildcard)
  • TEKgram obtained after defeating the Broodmother Lysrix (Alpha)
  • 100 × Electronics
  • 100 × Metal Ingot or Scrap Metal Ingot
  • 50 × Cementing Paste or Achatina Paste
  • 50 × Polymer, Organic Polymer, or Corrupted Nodule
  • 3 × Element

The Tek Turret is a fully automatic turret superior to others in the game. It can automatically target and fire at enemies within its range, excluding explosives. It uses Element Shards as ammo and requires a Tek Generator for electricity. Customization options include targeting players, tamed, and wild creatures, setting a custom range, and an alarm system for intruders.

So there you have it, a comprehensive breakdown of all the TEK weaponry currently available in ARK Survival Ascended. Of course, it's recommended that you only focus on using these devices once you reach the endgame thanks to their resource and Tekgram requirements, but once you do, they're the way to go when defending yourself or your base.
