As Black Ops 6 approaches its release, many fans eagerly participated in the recent open beta periods to get an early look at the game. While features like the omnipresence and smooth gameplay received praise, some issues have also emerged, notably concerning the sniper rifles.
Various players have identified problems with sniper rifles and have since urged Treyarch to address these issues promptly. So let’s take a moment to discuss the current problems players are experiencing with sniper rifles in Black Ops 6.
Players Report Sniper Rifle Crosshair Issues In Black Ops 6
Black Ops 6 has faced several criticisms since players had a chance to try it out in the open betas. Concerns have been raised about various aspects of the game, including the overpowered PDW, an unbalanced Sleeper Agent feature, and more. A significant issue that many players have noticed involves sniper rifles, particularly regarding crosshair stability and weapon stabilization.
YouTuber FaZe Scope has highlighted the problem, pointing out that something feels "off" with the scopes. He noted a recurring issue from Modern Warfare 3, where the sniper crosshairs in Black Ops 6 appear to be misaligned, causing the aim-down-sights (ADS) experience to feel "a little wobbly" as players struggle to center their shots. This issue affects both mouse and keyboard users and console players alike.
Another player, @Elyte96, also observed this problem and posted a clip on X (formerly Twitter) comparing Black Ops Cold War, MW3, and Black Ops 6. The footage clearly shows that the crosshair remains unstable while aiming down sights or after firing, echoing FaZe Scope’s comments about the reticle moving erratically and making the aiming experience feel wobbly.

In terms of solutions, FaZe Scope suggests that the way Modern Warfare 3 addressed its scope issues by adjusting the "true" center of the screen a few months into its lifecycle could serve as a model. If Treyarch can apply a similar fix to Black Ops 6, it might resolve many of the complaints about sniper rifles.
Hopefully, Treyarch will address this issue before the game's release, as it shouldn’t be too difficult to fix and could allow them to focus on other pressing concerns. While some players dismiss it as a skill issue and others criticize it as poor design, one thing is certain: anticipation remains high to see how the final product will play out when Black Ops 6 officially launches.
