Can You Play MW3 Zombies Offline?

If you're looking to play Modern Warfare 3 Zombies offline or in local co-op, here's what you need to know.
Can You Play MW3 Zombies Offline?
Activision

Modern Warfare 3 is finally here, dropping players into a brand new Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies experience. As far as Zombies goes, Activision seems set to bring back a number of beloved features this time around, including Perk-A-Colas, Ammo Mods, and more.

But players are already wondering if they need to be connected to the internet in order to enjoy Zombies. In CoDs gone by, players used to be able to play locally without an internet connection. But times have changed.

How To Play MW3 Zombies Offline

As has become the trend with a lot of modern game releases, in order to play Modern Warfare 3 Zombies players will need to be connected to the internet. This means that it's not possible to play Zombies offline or in local co-op across any platform, console or PC.

Interestingly, not every aspect of Modern Warfare 3 needs to be played with an internet connection. Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer is available in local play, as is War mode. It's a shame that players won't be able to recreate their classic Zombies experience, but if you've not got a squad ready to go, you'll be put into matchmaking to tackle the zombie threat this time around.

MW3 Zombies drops players into the Urzikstan Exclusion Zone, where they'll embark on a storyline that unravels the mysteries through Tiered Missions in three Acts. Complete tasks and missions to progress through the Acts, all while receiving rewards.
