Instead of revealing all the free games in the monthly PlayStation Plus lineup, as is tradition, Sony has taken a bit of a different route this time around.
Sony announced the first game in the PlayStation Plus June 2020 free games lineup as Call of Duty: WWII, and you can start downloading it today, 26th May 2020.
PlayStation Plus June 2020 lineup
For the PlayStation Plus June 2020 lineup, Sony is upping their game yet again. To our surprise, the first game in the PlayStation Plus June 2020 free games lineup has been revealed, and released, earlier than expected.
PS Plus members, Call of Duty: WWII is part of the monthly games lineup for June and will be available for download starting 26th May.— PlayStation Europe (@PlayStationEU) May 25, 2020
We’ll share additional details of our monthly lineup later this week. Enjoy! pic.twitter.com/jg9yJmF6aG
It remains to be seen when the second free game will be revealed. However, the lineup is already great just with Call of Duty: WWII, as it is fantastic to see a big AAA title on the list.
Rumours suggest Marvel's Spider-Man would be part of the PlayStation Plus June 2020 free games lineup, and it might very well still be, as there is one game left.
Sony has not disclosed the time or date it will reveal the next free game, only stating it would be revealed later this week.
A description of Call of Duty: WWII reads: "Call of Duty returns to its roots with Call of Duty: WWII – a breathtaking experience that redefines World War II for a new gaming generation.
"Experience classic Call of Duty combat, the bonds of camaraderie and the unforgiving nature of war against a global power throwing the world into tyranny."
