CS2 Season Length Explained

Counter-Strike 2 seasons will be played in Premier Mode, with an active duty pick/ban system and the new match rule, MR12. Players will earn a CS Rating in Premier Mode to climb the seasonal leaderboards. From what we can gather thus far (will be updated with official information), seasons in Counter-Strike 2 will run for three (3) months.

According to Valve's "Going Global" video (watch at the bottom of this article), your CS Rating feeds "Seasonal Leaderboards," confirming the existence of CS2 seasons. Datamined information gathered points towards the following seasons:

• Limited Test 
• Fall 2023
• Spring 2024
• Fall 2024

CS2's first season following the Limited Test (Fall 2023) should run from 23 September to 22 December 2023. Spring 2024's dates are from 20 March to 21 June 2024, and Fall 2024 is from 22 September to 21 December 2024.
