Cyberpunk 2077 Throwing Knives: All Locations & How To Unlock Perk

If melee weapons are your bread and butter, you may need to know how to get throwing knives and unlock its perk in Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 Throwing Knives: All Locations & How To Unlock Perk

Cyberpunk 2077 allows players to customize the character deeply, whether it be appearance, playstyle, or character build. The latter depends on your combat skills, the perks unlocked, and which weapons to utilize for which a stealth or katana build isn't complete with some throwing knives.

As for how you can get throwing knives will depend on whether you have unlocked its associated perk before using knives as weapons. This guide explains how players can get throwing knives and how to unlock the Dagger Dealer perk in Cyberpunk 2077.

Where To Get Throwing Knives In Cyberpunk 2077?

Knives are such an innocuous weapon for players; however, they can be proven valuable depending on the situation. Especially in stealth-like missions, taking down enemies is just a knife's throw away, but how can one acquire them?

Unlike most weapons in-game, knives can readily be found throughout Night City and its surrounding locations, especially if you have been randomly collecting them from bodies and loot boxes in high leveled missions. Additionally, there are multiple weapon stores across Night City retail knives as long as you have enough cash to make the purchase.

As throwing knives are melee weapons, to equip them to your character, you'll need to hold the LT/L2 button or right-click on the mouse before pressing RT/R2 or left-click on the mouse to throw. But throwing knives is more complex than you'll need to unlock a perk before you can equip knives to your character.

How To Unlock The Throwing Knives Perk In Cyberpunk 2077?

As previously mentioned, you'll need to unlock a perk associated with it before equipping and throwing knives at enemies. The Dagger Dealer perk is what you'll need to unlock, which is found within the Stealth Skill Tree located under the Cool Perks from the Character menu.

Luckily for players, this doesn't have a Cool Perk Attribute prerequisite as it becomes available at Level 1. Once you've unlocked this perk, you can throw knives at enemies using the bindings mentioned earlier for keyboard and mouse or controllers.

With this active perk, you can equip knives to your character, if you still need to, and start throwing them. However, you will not be able to pick up the knives thrown at enemies, so unless you have a surplus of them within your Inventory, you will need to loot more in the open world or acquire them from weapon stores.

When browsing the Night City map, they are marked with a gun icon and, when zoomed in, can view what they offer, whether firearms, melee weapons, or mods. For melee weapons, including knives, the weapons stores in Badlands, Pacifica, Watson, and Westbrook are where you'll need to look for another store available after completing the "For My Son" mission in Santo Domingo.
