How Energy Works in Disney Dreamlight Valley - Exhaustion Recovery

Energy is a consistent mechanic in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Learn how Exhaustion Recovery works to make the most of your time in the game.
How Energy Works in Disney Dreamlight Valley - Exhaustion Recovery

In Disney Dreamlight Valley, you'll find that energy is one of the most important resources you have despite it not having anything tangible. Exhaustion recovery and energy are the basis for completing a full day of work when you adventure around the valley.

Unlike most games, energy isn't a mechanic that runs out and instantly refills. While that may be the case for action or multiplayer games, Disney Dreamlight Valley takes a more Stardew Valley-like approach. This guide will cover how to take advantage of your own energy and how Exhaustion Recovery works as well.

Doing most tasks in Dreamlight Valley will cost some energy. This includes objectives such as mining or even clearing Night Thorns. Every time you complete a similar task, your blue energy bar will deplete. This doesn't count tasks like harvesting, but most activities will exhaust you to some degree.

Your energy won't recover on its own, but there are a couple of ways to completely refill your blue bar. The easiest way is to go into your home. Anytime you enter your house, your character will be rested and will regain all of the missing energy. But that requires you to stop your tasks and head back to the house.

If you don't want to halt your progress, you're going to need some consumables. Using recipes and getting food will allow you to use items that replenish energy on the fly. You can eat quickly and continue your mining and thorn collecting.

Of course, your energy levels can also be increased in Disney Dreamlight Valley so that your work can last longer during the day's adventures.

Increasing the energy you have is mostly a passive endeavor. The most consistent way to increase levels is by simply playing the game and leveling up. Each level that you gain as a character will increase your overall reserves so that exhaustion is less frequent.

Another way to increase your blue bar is by increasing the friendships you have with characters around Disney Dreamlight Valley. Buffing your friendship levels has all kinds of benefits, and the increase in energy is just another bonus to look forward to. Before long, you'll be able to work as long as you want to.
