How to Finish Royal Winter Star Path in Disney Dreamlight Valley

If you're diving into Disney Dreamlight Valley during the Royal Winter Star Path, you'll likely encounter more than a few duties which can seem a bit cryptic. While some may be self-explanatory, others require very specific tasks to be completed. If there's one tripping you up, we've got details below on how to finish every Royal Winter Star Path duty in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

List of Royal Winter Star Path Duties

The Royal Winter Star Path kicked off right as Jack Skellington arrived and the new Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time expansion was released. By completing duties in the Royal Winter Star Path, you'll be able to unlock rewards including cosmetics, clothing, furniture, and alternate costumes for Belle and Ariel.

Perhaps even more enticing to some players is that by finishing these in full, you'll also net significant amounts of Moonstone. If you want to keep racking up Moonstone until the Royal Winter Star Path ends on January 23, 2024, use the details below to finish each of the duties you're given.

Do some magical weed removal

Clear out and remove Night Thorns all across the valley. If you're having trouble hitting the numbers, you may just need to wait for more to spawn the next day. 

Go fish!

Use your Royal Fishing Rod and go fishing anywhere in the Valley or Eternity Isle. Try to focus on ripples, as you'll be less likely to get non-fish like Seaweed.

Finish some royal work

Finish any Dreamlight Duties or Mist Duties. Other Royal Winter Star Path Duties will not apply to this one, so make sure you're looking on the Dreamlight tab. 

Spend time with a magical mentor

You need to spend some time with Merlin as a companion. Ask him to hang out, and wait at least 15 minutes of real world time.

Give a Villager something they love

To complete this one, you need to give a favorite gift to any of the villagers you've already befriended. Check each character's daily gifts to see what they're looking for.

Build stuff!

Head to your trusty crafting table and craft any five items. Go with anything that you actually need for quests, or whatever has the lowest requirements.

Go mine

Find yourself a companion that gives bonuses for mining, and hit the rocks anywhere in the valley or on Eternity Isle. Just make sure you're focusing on rock veins on walls and not rocks that spawn out in areas.

Harvest some red bush berries

Snag one of your companions that gives harvesting bonuses, and you then need to find Raspberries, Goosberries, or Strawberries. These bushes are located Peaceful Meadow, Frosted Heights, Forgotten Lands, The Docks, and The Ruins.

Cook some 1-Ingredient meals

Any 1-Star meals will do in this case, but the easiest option is probably going to be crackers. Just make sure you've got the wheat and enough coal to cook them.

Make small talk with your Villagers

Have a few daily conversations with any of the characters you've unlocked and befriended in your village.

Eat some fairly simple meals

You need to eat 2-Star meals for this one, so make sure to go through your recipes and choose the one with the easiest ingredients based on what you've already unlocked. 

Fish for a "deeply musical" fish

That pesky music fish is actually bass. They can be caught by fishing in open water (anywhere with no ripples) in the Peaceful Meadow, Forest of Valor, Sunlit Plateau, or Frosted Heights.

Complete some royal work

Finish any Dreamlight Duties or Mist Duties. Other Royal Winter Star Path Duties will not apply to this one, so make sure you're looking on the Dreamlight tab. 

Spend time with a silly Stall owner

First you'll have to unlock Goofy in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and then befriend him. Spend time with Goofy as a companion for up to 15 minutes, and this should complete. 

Delight a robot with his favorite gifts

Here, you'll want to gift WALL-E his favorite things. As this is tied to favorite daily gifts which only appear three at a time, it will require at least two days to complete. 

Mine some precious stones

Find yourself a companion that gives bonuses for mining, and hit the rocks anywhere in the valley or on Eternity Isle. Just make sure you're focusing on rock veins on walls and not rocks that spawn out in areas.

Forage for blue blooms

Pick blue flowers of any kind across any of the biomes in the Valley or Eternity Isle. If you already have some in storage, you can actually just walk outside, drop them, and pick the flowers back up. 

Show your critters some love

You need to have unlocked at least one animal companion by feeding critters or earning them through other methods to do this. Equip any animal companion and pet them twice.

Chat with the Valley's sharpest business duck

If you're given this task you need to start two conversations with Scrooge McDuck. You have to have already gotten him in your valley, but you'll also have to wait until things reset to speak to him a second time. 

Collect something Scrooge would like in his pool

What does Scrooge McDuck prefer to swim in? Gold coins. Rack up star coins in any way throughout the valley.

Fish for an Arendellian favorite

Thankfully, only one fish applies here. Head to the Glade of Trust or Dazzle Beach and fish in white ripples to get some herring.

Finish some regal tasks

Finish any Dreamlight Duties or Mist Duties. Other Royal Winter Star Path Duties will not apply to this one, so make sure you're looking on the Dreamlight tab. 

Hang out with a marvelous Madrigal

First you'll have to unlock Mirabel in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and then befriend her. Spend time with Mirabel as a companion for up to 15 minutes, and this should complete. 

Give a sweet and speedy Villager her favorite gifts

Here, you'll want to gift Vanellope her favorite things. As this is tied to favorite daily gifts which only appear three at a time, it will require at least two days to complete. 

Feed customers at Chez Remy

For this one you just need to serve meals at Chez Remy. The exact ingredients and meals required will vary depending on what each villager requests. 

Mine some red gems

You need to mine some Garnet, Ruby, or Spinel. Make sure to bring a mining companion along with you, and break rock veins in one of the following locations: Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, The Plains, The Wastes, Vitalys Mines, The Promenade, and The Grove. 

Gather white blooms

Pick white flowers of any kind across any of the biomes in the Valley or Eternity Isle. If you already have some in storage, you can actually just walk outside, drop them, and pick the flowers back up.

Take a photo of a demigod's domicile

Pull out your trusty phone to snap a few photos of Maui's house in your valley. You'll have to have already unlocked Maui to do this.

Chat with a nautical enchantress

If you're given this task you need to start two conversations with Ursula. You have to have already gotten her in your valley, but you'll also have to wait until things reset to speak to him a second time. 

Pull some "nighttime" weeds

Clear out and remove Night Thorns all across the valley. If you're having trouble hitting the numbers, you may just need to wait for more to spawn the next day. 

Go fish for something red with claws

You need to fish for crab or lobster in this case, which have different locations. Crab can be found in blue ripples in the Frosted Heights, and Lobster are found in orange ripples in the Glade of Trust.

Complete some regal work

Finish any Dreamlight Duties or Mist Duties. Other Royal Winter Star Path Duties will not apply to this one, so make sure you're looking on the Dreamlight tab. 

Hang out with an ice-harvesting loner

First you'll have to unlock Kristoff in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and then befriend him. Spend time with Kristoff as a companion for up to 30 minutes, and this should complete. 

Give a frosty princess her favorite gifts

Here, you'll want to gift Anna her favorite things. As this is tied to favorite daily gifts which only appear three at a time, it will require at least two days to complete. 

Help Remy wait some tables

For this one you just need to serve meals at Chez Remy. The exact ingredients and meals required will vary depending on what each villager requests. 

Go mining for anything shiny

Find yourself a companion that gives bonuses for mining, and hit the rocks anywhere in the valley or on Eternity Isle. Just make sure you're focusing on rock veins on walls and not rocks that spawn out in areas, as those won't have shiny gems.

Harvest something red

This one will require some farming, as you need to plant and harvest either Bell Pepper, Chili Pepper or Tomato. Those seeds can be bought at the Goofy Stall locations in the Forest of Valor, Dazzle Beach, and Sunlit Plateau.

Cook some perfectly medium meals

You need to eat 3-Star meals for this one, so make sure to go through your recipes and choose the one with the easiest ingredients based on what you've already unlocked. 

Chat with the Queen of Arendelle

If you're given this task you need to start two conversations with Elsa. You have to have already gotten her in your valley, but you'll also have to wait until things reset to speak to him a second time. 

Eat some nearly perfect meals

You need to eat 4-Star meals for this one, so make sure to go through your recipes and choose the one with the easiest ingredients based on what you've already unlocked.

Catch some tentacled seafood

In this case, you need to catch either Squid or Octopus. Squid are found in blue ripples in the Glade of Trust or Forgotten Lands, and Octopus are found in blue ripples at The Docks or The Overlook.

Finish some royal work

Finish any Dreamlight Duties or Mist Duties. Other Royal Winter Star Path Duties will not apply to this one, so make sure you're looking on the Dreamlight tab. 

Spend time with a bow-wearing friend

First you'll have to unlock Minnie Mouse in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and then befriend her. Spend time with Minnie as a companion for up to 30 minutes, and this should complete. 

Give favorite gifts to the woman from the willow

Here, you'll want to gift Mother Gothel her favorite things. As this is tied to favorite daily gifts which only appear three at a time, it will require at least two days to complete. 

Spend a shift at Chez Remy

For this one you just need to serve meals at Chez Remy. The exact ingredients and meals required will vary depending on what each villager requests. 

Mine a deep green gem

Go mining for some Emerald. Make sure to bring a mining companion with you, and then break rock veins in the Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust.

Forage for some shells

Head to Dazzle Beach and start searching for pretty much anything you can pick up. Collecting a Clam, Oyster, or Scallop will contribute to this one, but companions won't boost it.

Find some fungi

Make sure to bring a companion with that boosts your harvesting while foraging for wild crops, and then you need to head to the Glade of Trust. Pick mushrooms until you've wrapped this one up.

Chat with a temperamental sailor

If you're given this task you need to start two conversations with Donald Duck. You have to have already gotten him in your valley, but you'll also have to wait until things reset to speak to him a second time. 

Cast a dreamy vote - it's a snap!

Open the pause menu and head to the Event tab. Under DreamSnaps, just spend some time voting for DreamSnaps entries submitted by other players.

Fish from orange circles in the Forest of Valor

Fortunately this one is pretty self-explanatory. Head to the Forest of Valor and successfully catch things from orange ripples.

Spend time with a "mane man"

First you'll have to unlock Simba in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and then befriend him. Spend time with Simba as a companion for up to 30 minutes, and this should complete. 

Give a Space Ranger his favorite gifts

Here, you'll want to gift Buzz Lightyear his favorite things. As this is tied to favorite daily gifts which only appear three at a time, it will require at least two days to complete. 

Work a shift at Chez Remy

For this one you just need to serve meals at Chez Remy. The exact ingredients and meals required will vary depending on what each villager requests. 

Mine for a pink gem

Go mining for some Tourmaline or Shiny Tourmaline. Make sure to bring a mining companion with you and break rock veins in the Sunlit Plateau and Frosted Heights.

Craft a yuletide animal

You'll have to craft a Yule Goat (or three), which requires fabric and wheat. You can get cotton seeds and wheat seeds from Goofy's Stall locations.

Pick a sour fruit

Harvest some lemons from their trees in the Forest of Valor. Make sure to bring along a harvesting companion to speed up this process.

Chat with the Valley's sheriff

If you're given this task you need to start two conversations with Woody. You have to have already gotten him in your valley, but you'll also have to wait until things reset to speak to him a second time. 

Uproot the Night Thorns

Clear out and remove Night Thorns all across the valley. If you're having trouble hitting the numbers, you may just need to wait for more to spawn the next day.

Fish for the most royal of fish

You're looking for Kingfish this time, and fortunately they're not to difficult to locate on Dazzle Beach. Kingfish appear only at night, and you'll need to fish in white or blue ripples.

Spend time with a skilled huntress

First you'll have to unlock Nala in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and then befriend her. Spend time with Nala as a companion for up to 30 minutes, and this should complete. 

Give favorite gifts to a tiny chef

Here, you'll want to gift Remy his favorite things. As this is tied to favorite daily gifts which only appear three at a time, it will require at least two days to complete. 

Craft a potion you can really "dig"

In this case, you need to craft an Even More Miraculous Shovel Varnish potion. We've got more details on the recipe for that here.

Dig up some vital Crystals underground

Head to the Vitalys Mines in the Sunlit Plateau, and you'll be looking for Vitalys Crystals. Bring a mining companion along with you to speed this process up.

Buy something cold

For this duty, you need to buy Slush Ice from Chez Remy. You'll first have to finish all of Remy's friendship quests, and only through The Unknown Flavor will the item become available.

Cook the finest of fine-dining meals

You need to cook and eat 5-Star meals of any kind. Ranch Salad and Bouillabaise are great early options you can use, but any 5-Star recipe will do. If you plan to eat them all at once to finish the duty, go with Ranch Salad as the ingredients can be gathered more quickly. 

Discuss matters with a pride-ful villain

If you're given this task you need to start two conversations with Scar. You have to have already gotten him in your valley, but you'll also have to wait until things reset to speak to him a second time. 

Enter a snapshot in a dreamy competition

You need to submit a photo that matches the weekly DreamSnaps challenges. While any photo taken will allow you to show DreamSnaps, it can't be submitted unless you match the requirements.

Fish for a fish whose name looks like WALL-E's

You need to catch at least one Walleye for this Royal Winter Star Path duty. They're located in orange ripples in the Sunlit Plateau where you unlock Scar.

Complete some royal tasks

Spend time with a snowman

Here, you'll want to gift Prince Eric his favorite things. As this is tied to favorite daily gifts which only appear three at a time, it will require at least two days to complete.

Serve up some delicious orders

For this one you just need to serve meals at Chez Remy. The exact ingredients and meals required will vary depending on what each villager requests.

Mine a shiny red gem

You need to mine some Shiny Garnet, Shiny Ruby, or Shiny Spinel. Make sure to bring a mining companion along with you, and break rock veins in one of the following locations: Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, The Plains, The Wastes, Vitalys Mines, The Promenade, and The Grove.

Do you want to build a snow family?

For this one, you need to craft the Classic Snowman, Haughty Snowman, Snow Lady, and Snow Kid at a crafting table. You'll need snowballs from Frosted Heights, cotton seeds from the Sunlit Plateau to eventually craft Fabric, pebbles dug up at Dazzle Beach, Forest of Valor, Sunlit Plateau, or Forgotten Lands, and finally some dry wood found in the Sunlit Plateau, Forgotten Lands, or Frosted Heights.

Eat something you cooked perfectly

You need to cook and eat 5-Star meals of any kind. Ranch Salad and Bouillabaise are great early options you can use, but any 5-Star recipe will do. If you plan to eat them all at once to finish the duty, go with Ranch Salad as the ingredients can be gathered more quickly.
