The Demogorgon was added to the 4v1 horror game Dead by Daylight as part of the Stranger Things DLC, which was later removed from the game following the expiration of Behaviour Interactive's license. The Demogorgon is unique in that he has no teachable perks anymore. He has been retired, meaning that his perks are no longer unique to The Demogorgon and are now available as general perks. Here are the perks Demogorgon had when he was available for purchase:

Perk: Surge

• Your eerie presence charges the air and interferes with technology.
• When you put a Survivor into the Dying State with your Basic Attack, all Generators within 32 metres of you instantly explode and start regressing.
• Applies an immediate 8 % Progression penalty.
• Surge has a cool-down of 60/50/40 seconds.

Perk: Cruel Limits

• Your ties to the otherworldly manifest when your prey attempts to get away.
• Whenever a Generator is completed, all Windows and Vault locations within 32 metres of it become blocked for all Survivors for the next 20/25/30 seconds.
• The Auras of the blocked Vault locations are revealed to you for the duration.

Perk: Mindbreaker

• Whenever a Survivor is repairing a Generator, they suffer from the Blindness and Exhausted Status Effects.
• If the Survivor is already Exhausted, their Status Effect's timer will be paused.
• The Status Effect lingers for 3/4/5 seconds after the Survivor stops repairing.

These perks are now called Jolt, Claustrophobia, and Fearmonger, respectively.

Power: Of The Abyss

The Demogorgon's power is called 'Of The Abyss.' The in-game description reads as follows:

• Press and hold the Power button to fully charge and activate Of the Abyss.
• All Survivors within a close proximity to any activated Portals will be indicated by Killer Instinct.

Special Attack: Shred

• Press the Attack button while charging or holding Of the Abyss to dive forwards and unleash a vicious slash.
• Shredding into Breakable Walls or Pallets will destroy them.

Special Ability: Portals

• Press the Active Ability button to place an inactive Portal on the ground in front of you.
• Inactive Portals are invisible to Survivors and cannot be sealed by them.

Traversing the Upside Down

• When standing on a placed Portal while viewing a highlighted Portal, press the Active Ability button to travel through the Upside Down, emerging from the highlighted Portal.
• After emerging from a Portal, The Demogorgon is cloaked by the Undetectable Status Effect for 3 seconds.

Activated Portals

• Portals become activated when they are first traversed to or from.
  • Activated Portals are visible to Survivors and can be sealed by them.
    • Survivors walking atop or sealing an activated Portal suffer from the Oblivious Status Effect.

All of the perks included in this build are general perks, meaning they can be found in the Bloodweb of all killers without prestiging or reaching level 50.

Whispers will help you find survivors, notifying you when you are in a certain area nearby. This will allow you to find your enemies early in the game and avoid dead zones throughout the game after you hook survivors. Sloppy Butcher inflicts more painful wounds, making it easier to track survivors and making it harder for them to heal. Bitter Murmur provides tracking after generators are completed, while Jolt prevents generators from being completed by applying regression when you earn a down. The perks in this build cover all your bases, making it a great well-rounded starter build.

Spirit Fury Chaser Demogorgon Build

The Demogorgon excels in many areas, but he especially does well in chase thanks to his Shred ability. By using a loadout that complements this ability, you can turn The Demogorgon into a real powerhouse during chases.

Tinkerer lets you see when generators are almost complete and sneak up on survivors completing them, using your Shred or a well-placed Portal. Corrupt Intervention provides early-game slowdown, so generators do not pop before you have a chance to find your footing.
