Top 7 Games Like Dead by Daylight You Can Play Right Now

Dead by Daylight is undoubtedly the most popular 4v1 multiplayer horror game of all time, with many iconic killers and survivors in its ranks with more joining all the time. There are some pretty other incredible games out there, too, that share a similar premise and that some fans believe are just as fun as Dead by Daylight.

If you’re looking for a new game to play and you enjoy the multiplayer 4v1 genre, you might feel that these alternatives to Dead by Daylight are a breath of fresh air.

Here are the top 7 best games similar to Dead by Daylight you can play right now.

Evil Dead: The Game

Evil Dead: The Game pits four survivors up against one Kandarian Demon in this 4v1 multiplayer game that is heavily based on the Evil Game franchise.

Fans of Evil Dead can play as all of their favorite characters, from Ash Williams to Kelly Maxwell to Pablo Simon Bolivar.

There are also numerous Demons for players to choose from, creating vast variety for both sides in each match.

The game even equips survivors with weapons (25 to choose from!) and special abilities with which to fight back, allowing for fast-paced, action-packed 4v1 gameplay.

Evil Dead: The Game is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Microsoft Windows.

Identity V

Like Dead by Daylight, Identity V is an asymmetrical 4v1 survival horror game. Also, like Dead by Daylight, the survivor characters' goal is to open the Exit Gates. While Dead by Daylight survivors repair generators to power these doorways to escape, Identity V's detective must solve puzzles.

The Hunter can use both traps and various weapons to take down the survivors, creating the potential for extremely tense and horrifying matches.

Along with its interesting and fun gameplay, Identity V stands out with its art style; its characters could be straight out of Coraline, an absolutely horrifying and unsettling look.

Identity V is available for Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.

Propnight

Propnight is a 4v1 multiplayer horror game with a twist; it's a prop hunt, and survivors can disguise as the items around them to hide from the killer.  Survivors need to repair prop machines to escape before the killer finds them and takes them all out.

In some ways, it's Dead by Daylight with a heavy focus on the hide-and-seek elements. Like Dead by Daylight, too, each killer has a different power allowing them to attack or find survivors in a special way, and survivors can stun killers at certain locations.

Propnight is available for Microsoft Windows.

Secret Neighbor

Perhaps more than any other listing on this list, Secret Neighbor appeals to all ages with its cartoony art style and non-violent gameplay.

In Secret Neighbor, you sneak into a house with your friends to rescue your friend from a basement, with one of you disguised as the creepy Neighbor.

You can effectively rescue your friend from the basement by sneaking around if you're a Kid, or disguise as the Neighbor and set up traps to throw the kids off. This game might have some elements of childlike horror, but more than anything else, it's a fun party game.

Secret Neighbor is available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Google Stadia.

Friday the 13th: The Game

If you've ever wished Dead by Daylight had Jason Voorhees in its roster, Friday the 13th is the answer to your wishes. The only killer in this game is Jason - a playable character - who is out to kill 7 counselors, also controlled by players.

Jason has various abilities, allowing the killer player to surprise, ambush, and attack survivors in terrifying ways. Friday the 13th features maps from the Friday the 13th movies, perfect for fans of the franchise.

This game also features a bots mode, perfect for those who prefer casual gameplay and aren't interested in competing.

Friday the 13th: The Game is available for Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Among Us

You might not expect Among Us to make a 'games like Dead by Daylight list,' but you'd be wrong.

Among Us has many terrifying asymmetrical horror elements; how scary is it to be hunted down by an impostor in a spaceship with no escape and few ways of knowing who they are?

Like Dead by Daylight, Among Us requires you to have a good strategy and keep an eye out for your surroundings to stay alive.

Among Us is available on Android, iOS, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Video Horror Society, commonly known as VHS, is a 4v1 multiplayer horror game that is set in the 80s. Players can play as a survivor or monster, using weapons and unique powers to overcome opponents.

No two matches feel the same, with the wide range of maps and characters available to play.

This game has a pretty neat and unique aesthetic, and it definitely has a lot of potential. It's still in Early Access on Steam, so it's exciting to see where it will go.
