Mikaela Reid entered Dead by Daylight's fog with two boon perks and one additional perk called Clairvoyance, which allows her to see certain auras after cleansing a totem. While her boon perks certainly got most of the attention after her release - part of the mid-chapter update after Pinhead's arrival to the game - Clairvoyance is still an interesting perk in its own right.
Let's take a look at Mikaela Reid's Clairvoyance perk, including what it is, how it works, and how you can best use it to win more trials in Dead by Daylight.
What Is Clairvoyance In Dead By Daylight?
Clairvoyance is one of Mikaela Reid's three teachable perks in Dead by Daylight. Clairvoyance allows the player to see the auras of many important landmarks after cleansing a totem. Clairvoyance's in-game description reads as follows:
- There is an intrinsic energy in you that sees beyond your vision.
- Clairvoyance activates whenever you cleanse a Totem.
- When empty-handed, hold the Ability button to unlock your full aura-reading potential. For up to 8/9/10 seconds, you see the auras of exit gate switches, generators, hooks, chests, and the Hatch within a 64-meter range.
How To Use Clairvoyance In Dead By Daylight
To use Mikaela Reid's perk, Clairvoyance, you'll first need to equip the perk as part of your Survivor build. Then, you can go into the trial and use Clairvoyance to your advantage to see the auras of exit gates, generators, and more. Here's how to use Clairvoyance in Dead by Daylight:
- Equip the Clairvoyance perk.
- Cleanse any totem in the trial.
- While you are not holding anything, hold the Ability button to view all the auras around you within a 64-meter range. You'll be able to use the power for up to 10 seconds per totem.
Note: Clairvoyance does not work if you have an item in your hand, so you'll want to ensure that you're not holding a flashlight, med-kit, or another tool before you try to activate Clairvoyance.
That's all you need to know about Mikaela Reid's perk in Dead by Daylight, including what it is and how to use it on any survivor you choose to play during your next trial.
