Destiny 2 The Immortal God Roll and How To Get It

Here's how to get the Immortal in Destiny 2, alongside our take on its god roll.

Bungie

The Immortal is an incredibly powerful Legendary SMG in Destiny 2 that's suited primarily for PvP content. The Crucible has gotten a ton of unique and memorable weapons over the years, like Ace of Spade and No Time to Explain, and the Immortal joins that list, thanks to its short TTK and great Perk combinations.

First introduced in Season of Defiance, The Immortal is a Trials of Osiris weapon in Destiny 2. This guide covers everything players need to know about the Immortal, including details on its god roll and how to get it.

How to get the Immortal in Destiny 2

As mentioned previously, The Immortal is a Trials of Osiris weapon, which means players can only get it by participating in this competitive PvP mode. In Season of Defiance, players could snag the Immortal by leveling up Saint-14's vendor rank to 10.

As of this writing, the only way to get The Immortal is via random drops from Trials Engrams. For those unaware, Trials Engrams can be earned by playing Trials matches. Once players have acquired the Immortal, they can use Focus Decoding to unlock better rolls of this weapon.

As mentioned previously, The Immortal is best suited for PvP content. Aside from its incredible TTK, it has some solid perks that make it one of the best Crucible SMGs in the game.

Rangefinder is an incredible choice as it enhances the ADS zoom and range though some players may prefer Threat Detector with its jack-of-all-trades nature to provide increased reload, handling, and stability near enemies.

Target Lock is always an easy choice for any PvP weapon, even more so with a high fire-rate weapon type like SMG. However, some players may find Killing Wind more convenient, which makes this more of a personal preference than anything else.

Likewise, for the Magazine, Ricochet Rounds is an easy choice as it increases stability and range. For the Barrel, both Full Bore and Corkscrew Rifling are great choices, though it comes down to whether the players want maximum range or little bits of increased range, handling, and stability.
