The sixth expansion for Destiny 2, The Witch Queen is considered among the best the franchise has seen yet. With it came the Vow of the Disciple Raid, one that is fun and challenging, but welcoming to newer players due to its easy-to-understand but challenging mechanics. This is one of the best Raids for Kinderguardians to dip their toes into for the first time, perhaps more so than even the Vault of Glass Raid.
Vow of the Disciple brings some of the best weapons in the game, even now. Weapons like the Linear Fusion Rifle Cataclysmic or the Breach Loaded Grenade Launcher Forbearance are still key in some of the more popular builds in the meta at this time. We've put this nifty little Loot Table together for you so you can focus-farm for rolls and red-border drops for weapon crafting on weeks when Vow of the Disciple is the Featured Raid Rotator. Let's take a look at each encounter and what it might drop for you!
Table of Contents
Destiny 2 Vow of the Disciple Raid Overview
Vow of the Disciple contains four encounters that offer loot upon completion as well as a few hidden chests scattered throughout. The weapons on offer here are great options, especially when compared to some of the other weapons in other Raids. The armor aesthetic isn't everyone's cup of tea, but getting a full set of decently rolled armor and using the Raid Armor Mods that can be slotted in make it worth chasing, even if you Transmog it.
On top of some fantastic Legendary weapons, Vow of the Disciple also has the Collective Obligation Exotic Pulse Rifle. This Void Pulse, when built around Void 3.0 subclasses, absolutely shreds in mid- to high-tier PVE as it utilizes all of the Void 3.0 verbs. This, like most Raid Exotics in Destiny 2, drops by chance upon defeating the final boss, Rhulk. Thankfully, as of Season 21, you can now complete some of the Raid's Triumphs to earn a higher drop chance percentage, so get out there and start slaying that Raid boss!

After you've made it through the Disciple's Bog, you'll come to the Acquisition encounter! All of the encounters in this Raid will use the symbols that you find in this area, so learn them and learn them well. This is your first opportunity at loot if this is your first time in the Raid, so get ready to keep an eye out for a good Submission SMG roll!

The Caretaker Encounter Loot
The Caretaker is a great encounter and one that gives you your first chance to earn a Forbearance Grenade Launcher! This Special Grenade Launcher is a wave frame, which makes it great for add-clear. Make sure you keep your eye out for a Chain Reaction and Genesis roll or craft one yourself after you've gotten the red-borders!

Exhibition Encounter Loot
The Exhibition encounter can be a tough cookie to crack if you're new to the experience, but once you get the hang of it, the hectic nature of the fight can be a good source of laughs for you and your Raid team. There's nothing super new to chase here, but this is a good encounter to farm if you're looking for Submission or Deliverance red-borders.
Weapons | Armor |
Submission (Kinetic SMG) | Resonant Fury Suit Chest |
Deliverance (Stasis Fusion Rifle) | Resonant Furt Suit Legs |
Dominion Encounter Loot
Congratulations, Guardian, you've made it to the Final Boss of the Raid and now get to square off against Rhulk, Disciple of the Witness. Stay mobile and clear comms, this encounter can be fun but if you get distracted, it'll cause wipes. Watch out for Rhulk and his sassy kicks to the head, they could send you careening off of the map, wasting rezzes. This encounter is really only worth farming for a chance at Lubrae's Ruin or Collective Obligation, so get in there and earn your Raid Exotic!

Collective Obligation (Exotic Void Pulse Rifle) | Resonant Fury Suit Helmet |
Lubrae's Ruin (Solar Glaive) | Resonant Fury Suit Gauntlets |

Bonus: Vow of the Disciple Raid Secret Hidden Chests
Vow of the Disciple has three hidden chests for players to discover as they make their way into the Throne World's Pyramid Ship. The first chest is found in the opening encounter in the Disciple's Bog. To access it, you will need to destroy a few Darkness Nodes that spawn in the exact same spots every time you load up the Raid. We recommend watching this video from ImPwnstar for the locations of those Nodes.
The second hidden chest is found in the platforming section of the Raid, between the second and third encounters just after killing The Caretaker. This chest requires going off the beaten path a bit, specifically toward the end of the puzzle, but ImPwnstar's video will show you the exact path you'll need to take to find your way.
Finally, there is a third secret chest that will guarantee a red-border drop on a weapon that you still need after defeating Rhulk. This chest will only spawn when completing a puzzle that randomly generates a key every time you run the Raid. Again, ImPwnstar's video is a great source of info on how that puzzle works and where to find the pieces.
That's it! That's everything you need to know about how to get all of the Vow of the Disciple Raid weapons and gear! If you're hungry for more Raid weapons and gear, go check out our loot tables for the Garden of Salvation or Last WishRaids!
