Destiny 2 is an ever-evolving live service game with a plethora of in-game activities for players to complete. These activities can rotate daily, however, the weekly reset is arguably the most important, as sometimes it includes the release of new storylines, content as well as the addition of a new set of weekly challenges.

Primarily though, the reset will change the weekly Nightfall Strike, the Raid and Dungeon rotation, various Crucible modes, and several more in-game activities. Keeping track of all those changes can be a tiresome process, so here's a handy FAQ guide to the Weekly Reset, including details of the latest changes.

What Time Is The Next Destiny 2 Weekly Reset

The Destiny 2 weekly reset happens every week on Tuesdays at 10 AM PT/ 1 PM ET/ 5 PM GMT.

The next reset will take place on 30 April 2024, at which point this page will be updated with the latest details for all activities.

Destiny 2 Nightfall This Week

This week the Nightfall is Lake of Shadows.

You’ll find the various modifiers below based on what difficulty you choose.

Nightfall: Hero
Shielded Foes You will face combatants with Arc, Solar, and Void shields.
Hero Modifiers Extra Shields Maximum Effective Level 1765
Champion Foes You will face [Shield-Piercing] Barrier and [Stagger] Unstoppable Champions. Visit the Character or Mod Customization screen to view your active anti-Champion perks.
Arc Threat

25% increase to incoming Arc damage.
Empath Enhanced radar. Take increased damage from melee.
Overcharged Weapons Weapon overcharges from the Seasonal Artifact are active in this activity. Kinetic weapons do increased damage when your subclass element matches an active surge.
Strand Surge 25% bonus to outgoing Strand damage.
Solar Surge 25% bonus to outgoing Solar damage.
Overcharged Machine Gun 25% bonus to Machine Gun damage.
Galvanized Combatants have more health and are more difficult to stun.

Equipment Locked You will not be able to change your equipment after this activity starts.

 

Nightfall: Master
All previous modifiers
Master Modifiers Extra Champions Locked Loadout Extra Shields Maximum Effective Level 1820
Attrition Regeneration is greatly impaired. Defeating enemies may create wells of Light.

 

Nightfall: Grandmaster 
All previous modifiers
Grandmaster Modifiers Extinguish Limited Revives Contest Join In Progress Disabled Extra Champions Locked Loadout Extra Shields Maximum Effective Level 1815
Extinguish If your fireteam falls in a Restricted Zone, everyone is returned to orbit.
Limited Revives Limited fireteam revives. Gain additional revives by defeating Champions.
Scorched Earth Enemies throw grenades significantly more often.
Chaff Radar is disabled.

Destiny 2 Nightfall Weapon This Week

The Nightfall weapon this week is the Loaded Question (Adept) Fusion Rifle. You can also earn the following rewards from completing the Nightfall:
  • Powerful (Tier 1) reward - Get 3 points by completing runs. Higher difficulties grant more points.
  • Pinnacle reward - Get a Nightfall score of 200k. Since modifiers are fixed, this requires a high-difficulty run.

Campaign Mission:
  • First Contact - Find Osiris in the Shadow Legion fleet and sow chaos through their ranks.
Partition: 

  • Hard Reset - Chase down a Shadow Legionary wreaking havoc in the VexNet.

Vex Incursion Zone: 

  • Liming Harbor - The Vex are testing CloudArk defenses in this region. Reality fractures as the VexNet bleeds through into Neomuna.

Weekly Campaign Mission: 

The Ritual - Disrupt Savathûn's ritual to steal the Traveler by revealing a lost secret from her past.

Europa Activities This Week

  • Eclipsed Zone: Cadmus Ridge
  • Empire Hunt: The Technocrat: Hero: Defeat Eramis's technology expert, Praksis, the Technocrat.
  • Exo Challenge: Simulation: Safeguard: Simulated Skill-Set Training: Test your defensive abilities amongst a Vex onslaught.
