RPGs often allow players to get the most out of character creation, and there a few things more joyous than seeing your character roam around an intricate fantasy world. Dragon's Dogma 2's character creation is something to behold as, in true capcom fashion, you can get really creative.

But a key element to surviving in Dragon's Dogma 2 is making sure your armor is up to scratch, and that often includes helmets. But these can be big, and can often mask your character's face entirely. So, is there a way to hide your helm so that your character is still visible?

Sadly, at launch, players are unable to hide the helmet of their main character or Pawn. There seems to be no function either in the Equipment menu or game settings to hide helmets.

It's possible that Capcom will add this feature somewhere down the line. The option to hide helmets has become pretty commonplace in most RPGs, even in MMORPGs, to allow players to view the faces of their creations at all times. Not all helmets will obscure your character's faces, such as the Felt Cap, but they will alter your hairstyle to better suit the hat.

If you aren't quite happy with how your character looks in general, or how a certain hairstyle looks when wearing hats, there are ways to change your appearance. Be suer to check out our guide for all the ways to give yourself a brand new look.

Can You Hide Helmets & Masks During Cutscenes?

At the time of writing, there's no option to hide your helmet during cutscenes. Whatever your characters are wearing at the time of activating a cutscene is what will be displayed. There are exceptions for when the story requires it, such as if your character finds themselves in a different attire, but that's about it.
