Applications for The Duskbloods network test are open right now – FromSoftware’s Switch 2 exclusive is giving players a chance to get hands-on before its 2026 launch, and the sign-up window is already live.
Players can head to the official Duskbloods website to register their interest. The application period opened on Wednesday, July 22 at 7am PT / 10am ET / 3pm BST and runs through July 28, giving you six days to throw your name in.
What You Need to Apply
To be eligible, you’ll need a Nintendo Switch 2 console and an active Nintendo Switch Online membership – Switch 2 console and an active Nintendo Switch Online membership are required. FromSoftware hasn’t confirmed whether spots are allocated on a first-come first-served basis or via a random lottery, so it’s worth applying sooner rather than later either way.
Successful applicants will receive a download code granting access to the test build. FromSoftware is clear this is not a demo – the test uses in-development game data and bugs are fully expected.
How the Network Test Works
The test runs across five four-hour sessions between August 21 and August 24, with up to eight players going head-to-head in multiplayer matches. FromSoftware has outlined three goals for the test: server load stability, multiplayer performance across different network environments, and game balance tuning.
Nintendo’s official description frames the game as a multiplayer action title where players take on the role of the Bloodsworn, battling alongside and against up to seven others using blood-based powers to secure the coveted First Blood. The Duskbloods is currently targeting a release by the end of 2026.
The August test sessions will be the first real public measure of The Duskbloods’ online infrastructure – a significant early checkpoint for one of Switch 2’s biggest exclusives.
