Elden Ring is an open-world game that is filled with content for players to discover. Throughout your time in Elden Ring, you will try to achieve the perfect build for your character as you discover what The Lands Between has hidden away. But a lot of the time, you can end up wandering in an area where you are not supposed to be yet.

There are moments when you will want to level up fast so you can discover what you want to discover. To do that, you will want to farm as many runes as possible in Elden Ring. Runes are not only important for leveling up in Elden Ring, but they are also essential for upgrading your equipment. Here, we will go over how you can farm runes in Elden Ring.

In Elden Ring, there are plenty of locations where you can farm runes in the game. But there is one spot that trumps all of them. During your adventures in Elden Ring, you will eventually be able to go underground. While you are exploring, you might find the Moghwyn Palace Site of Grace. This is where you will want to be.

At this site of grace, there will be a lot of enemies that you can kill very easily for runes. This is especially true if you have the Sacred Relic Sword. You will use the AOE skill from this weapon to defeat all of the enemies at once, netting you nearly 48,000 runes every 20 seconds. On top of this, there is a giant crow at this location that you can bait to falling off a cliff at this location as well. This will net you an easy 10,000+ runes every time you do this, but focusing on the enemies on the hill will get you more runes in the long run.

Now that you have your runes, what can you use them for? There are a couple of different things players can do with their runes. The main reason why you want runes is to level up as much as possible. Rune farming will make difficult areas in Elden Ring seem trivial, especially if you use the method mentioned above.

You can also use your runes to upgrade your equipment. All of the levels in the world will not really matter so much if your weapons are weak. That is why you will need runes to make sure you can level up your gear to match the strength you have.
