Players still have time to utilize the 100% XP gain boost and defeat bosses to earn Plunder and Dremora Plunder Skulls for the Witches Festival event. For players who have yet to complete The Witchmother’s Bargain quest to get the XP bonus, there's another quest lurking in the shadows that has them encountering a monstrous foe.
The Plucking the Crow quest will see players come face-to-face with the Crowborne Horror boss, but before this can happen, you need to do a task for a Witchmother. We’ve summoned all who dare to read this guide as we’ve explained how to complete the Plucking the Crow Daily quest for The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO).
How To Complete The Plucking The Crow Quest In ESO
Plucking the Crow is a Daily quest players can complete exclusively during the Witches Festival event in ESO. As this event is a seasonal event, players have until 7th November 2023 to complete and earn their rewards.
"Last year's harvest won't feed this year's brood. I'll need something fresh to bestow my boon." 🤔 Witches Festival is returning to Tamriel! Get the details on the spooky happenings: https://t.co/rldvM2rlvwpic.twitter.com/ik7xIaWjb0— The Elder Scrolls Online (@TESOnline) October 19, 2023
Players are to locate Olyve's Brewery in one of the three Alliance areas to begin this Daily quest, which depends on which Alliance players selected to start their campaign in ESO. We've listed where to find Olyve's Brewery in the Alliance areas across Tamriel:
- Aldmeri Dominion Alliance: Olyve's Brewery near the Mehrunes' Spite delve in Auridon
- Fast travel to the Greenwater Wayshrine
- Daggerfall Covenant Alliance: Olyve's Brewery in Glenumbra
- Fast travel to the Crosswych Wayshrine
- Ebonheart Pact Alliance: Olyve's Brewery near the Steamlake Encampment in Stonefalls
- Fast travel to the Ashen Road Wayshrine
After arriving at the brewery, speak with Witchmother Taerma during the Witches Festival to receive the quest and complete the objectives. This Daily quest will direct players to the Crowborne Horror boss battle, which players can repeat to farm a specific reward.
Witchmother Taerma tasks players with collecting 30 Cursed Feathers, which are dropped when defeating any enemy or boss throughout Tamriel. They are primarily found inside Plunder Skulls, best farmed by clearing out Group Delves, Group Dungeons, and Overland before defeating the boss at the end.
The Dremora Plunder Skulls contain more Cursed Feathers, which can be acquired after defeating a unique type of boss from Arenas, Delves, Incursions, Public Dungeons, Trial bosses, and World Bosses for the first time daily. With 30 feathers collected, return to Witchmother Taerma, for which she'll craft a unique item, the Crowborne Horror Effigy, used to summon a portal to travel to the Garden of Shadows.
The Crowborne Horror awaits players here, and it's rather challenging to defeat as a solo player, so this boss is best beat as a grouped activity. Once the boss has been defeated, return to Witchmother Taerma, where she awaits them with a reward, the uniquely special Dremora Plunder Skull.
The Elder Scrolls Online is available for the PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Game Pass, Mac, and PC via Epic Games Store and Steam. Players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide as Update 40 releases for Mac and PC on 30th October 2023.
