In the world of Fallout 76, managing your resources is extremely important. There are a lot of items that players can find that will end up helping them survive in the world. Guns, armor, medical equipment, and even soda will be valuable resources for players to survive. Nearly everything that players can pick up can be used in some sort of way to help them progress in the game.
One of the biggest resources that players will have to manage for themselves is ammo. There is danger in nearly every corner of Fallout 76, so having enough ammo to survive it all is essential. That is why players will need to learn how to farm lead in Fallout 76. Knowing how to farm lead will allow players to create their own ammo which of course, helps them take out the dangers of Appalachia. Here, we are going to go over the various different ways players can farm lead in Fallout 76 and we will go over the best lead-farming locations as well.
How To Get Lead In Fallout 76
Fallout 76 is a game where players can build and create a large abundance of items. There are random items everywhere that players can pick up that can be scrapped and then use that scrap to create other items. Lead is no different. If players want to farm lead, they want to look out for three major sources for lead:
- Lead Veins
- Lead Deposits
- Dumbbells
These three items are all over the world. Players can find Lead Veins in caves, Lead Deposits in the overworld, and Dumbbells in buildings. A large majority of the time, lead sources can be found in areas around Vault 76. If you want specific locations, players can find a good amount of dumbbells from Poseidon Energy Plant, the Charleston Fire Station, and Vault-Tech University. But these locations pale in comparison to our number one source for lead in Fallout 76.
The Best Place To Farm Lead In Fallout 76
There is basically one universally agreed-upon location for the best place to farm lead in Fallout 76.
The best location to farm lead in Fallout 76 is The Lucky Hole Mine. Here, players will find a large abundance of Lead Veins all over the walls. This is a high-level location though, so players might want to wait until they are at a higher level before attempting to scope out this area.
If players want to make the most out of the Lucky Hole Mine, they will need to get themselves the Excavation Power Armor. The Excavation Power Armor allows players to hold a lot more weight and on top of that, players will also farm four times as much lead as they normally would without the armor. This armor can be found in the Garrahan Mining Headquarters. Using the Excavation Power Armor in The Lucky Hole Mine will net players up to 1000+ lead scrap by the end.
The Best Lead Deposit Locations For Your CAMP
Lead Deposits are also a great source of lead in Fallout 76.
Lead Deposits can be farmed passively while you are going off into the world and trying to find more resources that you can use. The main issue is that you will need to set up a CAMP nearby and use a Mineral Extractor. Doing so will allow players to farm 15 lead scraps in around 30 minutes.
If we had to say where the best Lead Deposits are, we would have to pick the deposits northeast of Graninger Farm. There are three lead deposits near this location, which will increase the amount of passive lead you earn for every 30 minutes.
The Lead Deposits east of Fort Defiance and west of the Appalachian Antiques are good too because they are near each other, even though there are just two of them. Choose any of these locations for lead farming, and you will be getting 30+ scraps every 30 minutes without having to do much work.
