In Fallout Shelter, your Vault Dwellers can get pregnant and have children, increasing the size of your Vault's population. However, it takes some time for babies to be born in the game, and even more time for them to grow up. Here's how long you can expect women to be pregnant in Fallout Shelter.

How Long Are Vault Dwellers Pregnant For In Fallout Shelter?

If all of the conditions are right, your female Vautl Dwellers can get pregnant in Fallout Shelter. They'll remain pregnant for a total of three hours. During this time, your pregnant Dwellers won't be able to work unless partnered with 1 to 2 male Dwellers. They also won't be able to fix any emergencies, such as putting out fires or fighting invading Raiders.

You don't need to be in the game for the whole three hours. You can tab out and wait for even close the game and come back while you're waiting for a baby to be born in Fallout Shelter. There's no way to speed up this process, though, so you'll just have to wait it out.

Once the baby is born, you can name them and then you'll need to wait another three hours before they're fully grown, at which point you can assign them to quarters (which you've hopefully prepared beforehand).
