Want to know how to get Orichalcum in Final Fantasy 16? Look no further than this guide. As one of the rarest materials in FFXVI, this noble metal is highly sought-after, comprising one of four ingredients required to forge the all-mighty Gotterdammerung, the strongest sword in the game.

That said, the burning question everyone wants to know is where to find it. But don't worry. This guide will detail every Orichalcum location in Final Fantasy XVI, including the various Notorious Marks and side quests you'll need to locate it. So, what are you waiting for? Let's jump right in.

TL;DR: You can get Orichalcum by defeating three separate Notorious Marks in Final Fantasy XVI: Atlas, Gorgimera, and Behemoth King. Find their locations below.

All Orichalcum Locations In Final Fantasy 16

The main way to get Orichalcum is as a reward for defeating three specific Notorious Marks in Final Fantasy XVI. These include Atlas, Gorgimera, and Behemoth King, each of which is unlocked at different points in the game. Note that these are very high-level (Level 45+) Hunts.

Where To Find Atlas (Breaker of Worlds)

The first Orichalcum location in Final Fantasy 16 is in Eastpool, situated in the northwestern part of the Imperial Province of Rosaria. After traveling to the Eastpool Obelisk, navigate from The Broken Hilt to Rhiannon's Ride. From there, follow the path to the easternmost part of Cressida.

You will encounter the Rank S (Level 48) Notorious Mark, Atlas, here. After defeating him, you will be rewarded with Orichalcum in FFXVI. Note that this Hunt, called "Breaker of Worlds," is only available during the Main Quest #44: "Out of the Shadows" in FF16.

Where To Find Gorgimera (The Tricephalic Terror)

The next Orichalcum location in Final Fantasy 16 is in the Dhalmekian Republic. After traveling to the Dalilmil Inn Obelisk, exit the door behind you into The Velkroy Desert (pro tip: you can summon your Chocobo now). Then, run to the area displayed in the image below.

Once there, you will find the Rank S (Level 45) Notorious Mark, Gorgimera. After defeating him, you will be rewarded with Orichalcum in FFXVI. Note that this Hunt, called "The Tricephalic Terror," is only available during the Main Quest #62: "Across the Narrow" in FF16.

Where To Find Behemoth King (The Masterless Marauder)

The final Orichalcum location in Final Fantasy 16 is in the northeastern area of Vidargraes. You will find the Rank S (Level 47) Notorious Mark, Behemoth King, next to the Vidargraes Obelisk. After defeating him, you will be rewarded with Orichalcum in FFXVI.

Note that this Hunt, called "The Masterless Marauder," is only available during the Main Quest #67: "Back to Their Origin" in Final Fantasy 16. You must also complete the "Nobody’s Tool" side quest.

We will endeavor to have more detailed guides on how to beat each of these Notorious Marks. But that's how to get Orichalcum in Final Fantasy XVI. Well, sort of. You can also obtain it by completing the Duty Undying II and Under New Management side quests (guides coming soon).

Now that you have Orichalcum, you should continue to gather the other crafting materials: Ragnarok, Darksteel, and Primitive Battlehorn, to forge the coveted Gotterdammerung sword!

There was a time when Orichalcum was so abundant that it was used in everything from armor and weapons to coins and cutlery. However, when the Twins' only Orichalcum mine was finally exhausted, the trading price for the noble metal increased tenfold, causing people to hoard what they had, and ultimately making it rarer than even adamantite.

And that's everything you need to know about where to find Orichalcum in Final Fantasy 16. But don't stop here. Discover the locations of Electrum, Gelatinous Mass, Scarletite, and loads more by reading more of our comprehensive guides.
