How To Unlock Reaper Job In FFXIV

If you want to unlock the Reaper Job in FFXIV, here's what you need to know.
How To Unlock Reaper Job In FFXIV

FFXIV has tons of unique Classes and Jobs for players to try out, and it's possible to play every single Job on a single character. You can load into a raid as a DPS, then fight some world bosses as a tank before helping out in a Dungeon Roulette as a healer.

While a lot of the Classes and Jobs are available to all players from the start of the game, with each new expansion, the developers of FFXIV have been good at introducing new Jobs to spice things up.

These Jobs require players to meet certain criteria before they can be unlocked, however, and one of these Jobs is the Reaper. So, if you are curious about how to unlock the Reaper, this article will guide you through everything you need to do to start playing this Job.

To unlock Reaper, players must own the Endwalker expansion. Additionally, players must have at least one Disciple of War or Disciple of Magic at level 70 or above.

Once both of these criteria have been met, players will need to speak with the Flustered Attendant at the Steps of Nald in Ul'Dah (X:12.8, Y:8.6).

Speaking with this NPC will provide you with the Reaper unlock quest, "The Killer Instinct." Playing through and completing this quest will allow you to then start playing as a Reaper.

The Reaper Job is a powerful Melee DPS Job that can acquire resources and execute huge burst damage in short DPS windows. If you're wondering how best to maximize your potential as a Reaper, check out our guides for the best rotation and Materia to use with this Job.
