How To Get The Uolosapa Minion In FFXIV

Tons of new content was introduced in FFXIV Patch 6.51. Along with new Variant and Criterion dungeons, there's also the brand-new Fall Guys x FFXIV Blunderville collaboration event. With all of this new content, naturally, there is a ton of new items for players to acquire. This includes new mounts, new emotes, new weapons, new fashion accessories, and more. Additionally, it's possible to obtain a brand-new Minion in the form of the Uolosapa. This is a small bird that will flutter by your side whenever it is summoned. 

So, if you are curious to learn more about how to acquire this ally, you have come to the right place. This article will cover how to get the Uolosapa Minion in FFXIV. 

How To Get The Uolosapa Minion In FFXIV

In order to get the Uolosapa Minion in FFXIV, players will need to complete the new Aloalo Island Variant dungeon. To unlock this dungeon, head to Old Sharlayan (X:12.0, Y: 13.3) and accept the quest named "Stranger from Paradise." This will unlock the dungeon and allow you to challenge it via the V&C Dungeon Finder. The variant dungeon can be challenged alone so feel free to go ahead and prepare for battle. 

Because Aloalo Island is a Variant dungeon, this means it has several branching paths. In total, there are 12 branches that players will need to go down if they are to acquire all of the available rewards.

A lot of the new mounts, emotes, and items can be obtained by grinding the dungeon in order to obtain the new currency, Potsherds. These can be traded with Trisassant for a slew of rare and limited-time items. Unfortunately, this is not the case for the Uolosapa Minion, which is a random drop that can be obtained from various chests throughout the dungeon. 

Players will need to complete multiple runs of the dungeon and hope that the rare Minion is stowed away inside one of the chests. This means that there is no guaranteed way to obtain the Uolosapa Minion, and players will have to pray that their current run is the lucky one. You could be fortunate and get the item on the first run. Or, you could be unlucky and never find it.

Thankfully, because this item drops in a Variant dungeon, the rewards are not shared among the party. This means that you do not have to worry about losing a roll if the Minion finally does drop. 

Alternatively, it is also possible to purchase the Uolosapa Minion accessory via the Market Board. That being said, because the Uolosapa Minion Minion is new, you can expect to pay outrageous amounts of Gil for it. If you have the Gil but don't have the luck, this is a great timesaver.
